We asked Bridget to tell us what makes it personal to her. Here's what she said:
Why did you get in to the home care business? Wanting to own our own business, and at the same time make a difference in the world. Taking care of our aging family members had a major influence on wanting to be in the home care business, but it has also made this business very personal to us.
Why Home Instead? Home Instead definitely stands out as the leading home care company of the world, and it was our desire to be a part of that. But the support we receive from our home office and the camaraderie between the owners of other franchises is invaluable. It is the encouragement and support from other owners that makes us feel like we are a part of something so much greater.
When did you start with HISC and what keeps you motivated? We opened our office in November 2006. Our office staff and CAREGivers make this work that we are doing a joy. Our CAREGivers are inspirational in every way. The way they care for, love, motivate, engage, and encourage our clients is amazing. Our staff encourages our CAREGivers when they are down, motivates them to do wonderful work, takes ownership in our goals as a company, and is not satisfied until the quality of our service is exceptional.
What are you doing locally that can illustrate how you and HISC are an integral part of the community? Be a Santa to a Senior, Mission Medicine, Relay for Life, Unforgettable Footsteps CAREGiver's Walk, CAREGiver support groups
What makes you different from your competitors? Our training sets us apart from any other home care company. It is very hands on, ongoing throughout their entire employment with us, allows the CAREGiver's to get to know us and be encouraged that they are not alone but a part of a growing company, and gives us the opportunity to truly get to know our CAREGiver's before they step into a client's home. It gives our CAREGiver's the confidence they need to be a professional CAREGiver and the knowledge and education to provide the highest quality of care.
