Sandy and Tom Boughner - Owners Sandy and Tom Boughner, Home Instead Senior Care Franchise Owners for Clallam and Jefferson Counties
Sandy has devoted her career to serving seniors. She has held several management positions, including Administrator, at independent and assisted living communities in Florida and Virginia, and she has been a program manager for the Loudoun County, Virginia Area Agency on Aging. With her 17+ years of experience working with seniors, Sandy has developed a keen understanding of the challenges seniors and their families face every day and the many options available for addressing those challenges.
Tom came to the senior home care business from an entirely different route. His career was in nuclear systems engineering management with the Navy and involved design and development of submarine nuclear propulsion plants. Tom takes care of the business aspects of the business, freeing up Sandy and the rest of the staff to focus on the wonderful people we serve and CAREGivers we employ.
After Tom retired from his Navy job in December, 2005, Sandy and Tom moved from the Washington, DC area to Port Ludlow and began looking for ways to put Sandy's experience with seniors to work in their own new business. "We researched the Home Instead Senior Care franchise network, and the more we learned, the more impressed we became with this wonderful company" said Sandy. "We opened our office in Sequim in August, 2006, and have been thrilled with the response we have received from the community." Today, they have offices in Sequim and Port Ludlow to better serve clients in both Clallam and Jefferson Counties. They also have an office at The Fifth Avenue Retirement Center in Sequim to serve residents when they need a little extra help to maintain their independence.
