You can rely on us, because "to us, it's personal".

Karl Karch, Owner:  Karl holds a BS in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J.  Prior to starting his home care business, Karl held various senior management positions including CEO of a $70 Million multi-plant printing company.  His involvement in organizations includes: the Virginia Association of Home Care and Hospice, the local Alzheimer Association Advisory Council, the Board of Directors of Partners In Aging, former Treasurer of the Fredericksburg AARP, Board of Directors of the Health Care Council of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Fredericksburg Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.  Karl is passionate about senior issues and gives presentations to a variety of local organizations.  Since January 2007 he has been writing articles in the Senior Care section of the Front Porch Fredericksburg, a monthly community magazine serving the city of Fredericksburg, and the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, and King George.

Roberta Karch, Owner:  Roberta brings many years of caring for others, personally and professionally.  She is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and has been a Deacon and Trustee.  Some of her other service duties included: Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, vocational skills lab teaching assistant in a special education school, privately tutored special needs students, United Way volunteer, member of Association for Retarded Citizens, and volunteer at homeless shelters.  She attended New River Community College.  One program she is particularly proud of is the Be A Santa To A Senior program.  This is a community service effort providing gifts to lonely, needy seniors who are often overlooked at Christmastime.  The program in its third year delivered over 1,600 gifts to 830 seniors.  The company also raised $3,200 in donations for the 2008 Alzheimers Memory Walk.

Deborah Franks: Fredericksburg is Deborah's hometown!  She is a graduate of Spotsylvania High School.  She attended Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University, majoring in accounting.  Deborah was a stay-at-home mom, volunteering within her community and coaching Field Hockey and Basketball for Holy Cross Academy, and for Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation.  As a former Account Manager at Unistaff, LLC., her accounts ranged from local production plants to direct hire placements for local offices.  Deborah joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in August of 2007.  She has two wonderful children, Britney who lives in New York City and is in her third year with Fashion Institute of Technology and her son, Andrew, is currently a junior attending Avon Old Farm School in Connecticut.

Karen Corona: Karen is a Fredericksburg native and a graduate of Stafford Senior High School where she participated in the Future Business Leaders of America club.  She enjoys reading, watching movies, working out at the gym and spending time with family.  Her mother, Kathleen, has been a CAREGiver with our office since November of 2007.   Prior to Karen's arrival at HISC, she was half of the human resources department at Rappahannock Goodwill Industries for four years.  Other positions she held, before finding "the best job ever", include assistant manager at Taco Bell, administrative assistant at National Carpet & Rug and customer service rep at Wal-Mart.   As Karen naturally enjoys helping and doing things for others, she is extremely happy to be a part of the team at HISC and looks forward to an enjoyable and rewarding career here.

Jennifer Querry: Jenn moved to Fredericksburg in November of 2000.  A native of Martinsville, Virginia, she has lived all over the state, but considers Fredericksburg the place where she belongs.  A mother of two great children, Austin, 8, and Jordan, 5, she has her hands full.  But, she finds time to devote to her position with Home Instead Senior Care, and our area's many worthwhile causes, often taking her children along to teach them some of the most important lessons in life, to help those in need and to give back to the communtiy.  As a former CAREGiver for Home Instead Senior Care, she was delighted to return to work for the Karch's in June, 2008, as the Marketing Manager.  She is always thrilled to step in as a CAREGiver when needed.  Jenn's favorite quote: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." - Wayne Gretsky.  So take the shots!

Jessica Schultz: Originally from Richmond, VA, born in January of 1978, Jessica's family moved to the Fredericksburg area in the Spring of 1988.  She attended & graduated from Courtland High School where she was very active with Marketing & the DECA program as well as the French Club.  After high school she moved to Michigan to begin her family.  She has two wonderful sons, Connor who is 12 years old and Dawson who is 3 years old.  In August of 2006 she began working for a staffing agency in Northern Virginia as a Contract Recruiter where she got her first taste of the "Recruiting & Staffing" world, later to become the company's Senior Staffing Manager.  She thought how wonderful it would be to be able to make that kind of difference in a persons life.  Jessica is truly a "people person" in every sense of the phrase.  She thoroughly enjoys getting to meet and know so many different people and learning from them what they have come across in their life experiences.
