Think talent and a competitive spirit are solely for the young American Idols? Think again, says Home Instead Senior Care.
The Fredericksburg office of the world’s largest provider of non-medical home care and companionship for seniors will present the Forth Annual "Top Senior Model" at Chancellor’s Village on Saturday, June 23, at 2:00 PM

Personality... and
TALENT!
After last year's successfully entertaining talent demonstrations, we will be incorporating an outlet for the contestants' show-stopping personalities again this year. We are also working on a little something extra to drive the audience wild.
The idea is to celebrate "feeling good from the outside in", said Karl Karch, co-owner of the local Home Instead office. The event will be a competition, he said, but one that embraces the beauty inside that doesn’t go away with age.
“Looking good and feeling good as we age are closely intertwined,” Karch said. “At Home Instead Senior Care, we believe that how a person looks on the outside contributes to positive self-esteem, so we help build this confidence—from the outside in—by encouraging seniors to take a few simple and practical steps to improve their appearance and follow a healthy lifestyle. Doing so can lead to overall healthy aging.”
Kristen Hansen, executive director of Chancellor's Village, said "I'm excited to host 'Top Senior Model. Too many still believe that life has to slow down as the years go by, but the residents I see on a daily basis are an inspiration. So it's nice to give them a turn in the spotlight."
