WTAE Pittsburgh News Featuring this Franchise And The Services That We ProvidePITTSBURGH -- Deciding how to care for an elderly parent can be a difficult decision for any child, but a local service is helping to ease the burden. Home Instead Senior Care Offers Nursing Home Alternative. "This is where I belong, and I'm comfortable here," 93-year-old Jim told WTAE Channel Action News' Michelle Wright.
He's able to stay in the comfort of his own home rather than a care facility thanks to Home Instead Senior Care.
During the day, caregivers help with his cleaning and cooking, as well as add a little conversation.
"I like to have people who will sing with me, joke with me, talk to me, and if it takes all day, that's fine," Jim said.
He lives with his daughter, Maggie, but work keeps her from being with him full time.
"My dad's life is the fullest here at home. He worked hard to provide this home for us, and we'd like to return the favor and keep him in it as long as possible," she said. |
