"Be a Santa to a Senior" Starts Today
With the holidays fast approaching, Home Instead Senior Care would like to remind shoppers and donors to remember their senior citizens. For those who would like to do so, but aren't sure how, the local Home Instead Senior Care Office is gearing up for the fifth annual "Be a Santa to a Senior" program, which begins today, and runs through Dec. 8.
Teaming up with the area office of Home Instead Senior Care this year are the Mansfield Housing Authority, Prime Time Adult Day Health in Dighton, Bethany House in Taunton, Hillside Adult Day Health of Attleboro, The Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield, Epoch Senior Living in Norton and the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, as well as Quality Van Sales of Norton and Bank of America to provide presents and special visits to local seniors who otherwise might be overlooked this holiday season.
As part of the program, individuals can retrieve a "senior ornament gift tag" from trees set up at The Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield, the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce in Mansfield and Epoch Senior Living in Norton, as well as the Home Instead Senior Care Office at 555 Pleasant St. in Attleboro.
Gifts will be collected by Dec. 8 and a gift-wrapping party will be held Dec. 10 at the Home Instead Senior Care Office in Attleboro. Delivery of the gifts will begin on Dec. 21.
