Ryan Roy (Owner)
Ryan is a Messiah alumnus, obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Regent University. Ryan has spent the last 12 years in the financial services industry. He is a compassionate person who believes in the importance of honoring the elderly and helping them achieve their goals of remaining independent and in their homes for as long as possible. Joy Roy (Owner) Joy is a registered nurse and holds a BSN degree from Messiah College. Her most recent work experience was at Hershey Medical Center. Joy also believes strongly in helping to maintain the independence of the elderly. Both of Joy’s grandparents and a great aunt were maintained in their homes, with the help of home care aids, the last several years of their lives. Joy’s father organized these services himself and it was a full time job. If only he’d had the help of Home Instead, how much easier that period of years would have been for everyone…. resulting in more quality family time and much less stress himself. John Gibbel (Owner) John received a B.A. from Houghton College. After two years in education, he spent 14 year involved as the fourth generation in Gibbel Insurance, a family owned insurance agency in Lititz.
The experiences in the classroom as well as the years in the insurance business were instrumental in John gaining critical skills in communication, understanding and meeting the needs of many different people, and recognizing the importance of building trust in relationships. John is serving as GM for Home Instead Senior Care in Lancaster County. Laureen Gibbel
Although she is a busy mother of 5, Laureen is a registered nurse, and still works one day per week in a hospital setting. Both John and Laureen value working with people, have a genuine interest in serving others well, enjoy the challenges and opportunities of business ownership and are truly excited to be involved with Home Instead Senior Care. Penny Bitts
I was born and raised in Lancaster County. After working for 23 years in the insurance industry, I needed to make a change and find something to do where I could make a difference in the lives of others.
Always having a special love for Seniors, I was happy to find Home Instead Senior Care of Lancaster County. I started working as a CAREGiver in July 2008. In November, 2009 I became a part of the administrative team.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. .jpg) Faith Clark
I was born and raised out west in Washington and Idaho states. When I was 18 I moved with my family to Ghana West Africa where we were missionaries for 6 years. We then moved to Pennsylvania and I spent 4 years working at a local nursing home on the Alzheimer’s unit. This really met the need in my heart to serve others. In Jan. of 2006 I also started working part time for Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver, I became attached and loved working with each client that I had the privilege of serving. In the summer of 2008 I joined administrative team here at Home Instead. I’m very blessed to be part of this team! I’m involved in a local church and also enjoy art work, wood burning, cooking and spending time with family and friends. I still go back to Ghana every now and then for short term mission trips and to visit friends. God is good and has blessed me so much! .jpg) Elisabeth Comeaux
Elizabeth joined the administrative team at Home Instead as bookkeeper during the summer of 2010. She enjoys the challenge in bookkeeping of maintaining accurate and up to date records. Outside of work enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff and with their three sons - Nathaniel, Caleb and Noah. She loves to read, travel, watch movies and meet friends for coffee. .jpg) Donna Gehr
Donna started at Home Instead in April 2006, retiring from Auntie Anne’s Soft Pretzels after 15 years as a Training Manager. When Donna started at Home Instead there were only 12 CAREGivers. Donna has worn several hats during the past 5 years with Home Instead, including scheduling, hiring, and training. She especially enjoys the training and following through with CAREGiver support. Donna is blessed to have an 89 year old mother who is in very good health and spends most of her time with Donna and her husband Denny. This gives Donna lots of personal care giving experience. Donna and Denny live in Lancaster and have 2 grandchildren, Carley, 4 yrs old and Michael 1 ½ yrs old. They enjoy traveling to Mexico, the Caribbean, and especially southwestern USA. The South Pacific and Europe are next on their wish list. .jpg) Gretchen Horning Gretchen joined the Home Instead team in January of 2011. As the ‘baby’ of the office, one of her chief hobbies is pestering her older co-workers. When she’s not talking with CAREGivers or putting schedules together, she can usually be found climbing rocks, backpacking, studying foreign languages and cultures, spending time with her family, or drinking coffee. Gretchen loves working for Home Instead and feels privileged to be a part of the team! Yvonne Kupp Yvonne was born and raised in Lancaster County. She has always had a special place in her heart for the special needs and elderly. Several years ago she worked as a driver for special needs and elderly individuals, and felt that it was time to pursue her passion again. She started working for Home Instead in January of 2011 and feels blessed to be a part of the team. When not devoting her time and energy to her beloved Clients and other CAREGivers she can be found running sound at her church, playing bass, shopping, and spending time with her daughter and three beautiful grand children. While working at Ephrata Community Hospital, Jesica was introduced to Home Instead through a good friend of hers, Ruthi Schultz. After much thought and prayer, she felt it was time to make a change and join the Home Instead Team. “I am so thankful to be a part of an amazing team that values not only their client’s, but each individual employee, as well. The integrity of Home Instead is held up by the values that I hold so close to my heart.” Ruthi Schultz Ruthi joined the Home Instead team in September as our Human Resources Manager. I was born in Philadelphia, PA, raised primarily in Gettysburg, PA. It was a fabulous place to grow up, as our back yard butted up against the battlefield. I was in the same school district as the Eisenhower grandchildren, so we had members of the Secret Service outside every classroom. I now live in northern Lancaster County.
Hobbies include Penn State football, being an avid reader, and candy making.
Past employment includes the staffing industry, retail management, and working with a non-profit that worked with victims of abuse.
