Rob and Shelley - Franchise Owners
In 1995, Rob graduated Cum Laude from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He also holds a CPA certificate of which he specialized in the health care field. Shelley, as well, received a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Tennessee Technological University and a Masters degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Shelley is a Certified Gerontologist. In September 2004, the Home Instead Senior Care franchise was established for the Upper Cumberland. Rob runs the day to day operations of the Cookeville and Crossville offices. In addition to Shelley's many duties, she facilitates the specialized training for Home Instead Senior Care's Alzheimer program and currently teaches Sociology, Aging Studies, and Race and Ethics at TTU.
Rob and Shelley have been married since 1998 and have two precious boys-Dylan and Austin.
Rob and Shelley believe it is a privilege to be a part of someone's life and play a role in assisting them in remaining independent. They want to insure successful aging and a quality of life for our aging Americans today and in the future.
Renee - General Manager
Renee has been with Home Instead Senior Care since March of 2006. She was a CAREGiver for a year before taking an office position as Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. She was then promoted to Service Coordinator, Office Manager, and now her role is General Manager for the Cookeville and Crossville operations. She was born and raised in Cookeville, but now resides in Baxter. She has four children.
Renee is passionate about helping seniors maintain their independence. With Renee's promotion to General Manager, she oversees the operations of the Cookeville and Crossville offices. Some of her duties include managing the CAREGivers, arranging schedules, and ensuring compatiblity between the clients and their CAREGivers. All these duties help assure the families that their loved ones are being taken care of around the clock. When Renee thinks of Home Instead Senior Care, she thinks Caring, Compassionate, Loyal, and Trustworthy. Renee has a strong desire to give back to seniors as they have given to others all their lives. She loves that she is helping people to stay in their homes as long as possible.
Elizabeth - Staff Coordination Manager
Elizabeth is from Baxter, TN and she has a son named Kolton. She is a certified LPN and has been with Home Instead Senior Care since 2006. She was a CAREGiver for two years, received her Alzheimer's Training certification, and then was promoted to an office position as Recruitment and Rentention Coordinator. She is now our Staff Coordination Manager, and her duties include managing the Staff Coordinators and CAREGivers, arranging schedules, and ensuring compatiblity between the clients and their CAREGivers.
Elizabeth strives to provide the best CAREGivers to the local seniors in the Upper Cumberland so that those seniors are able to stay in their homes longer. She loves the personal interaction with the CAREGivers, learning their personalities, and informing them of their responsibilities to the clients of Home Instead Senior Care. She believes Home Instead Senior Care is a resource for the community, and is happy to be a part of that.
Sara - Staff Coordinator
Sara, a Cookeville native, began her journey with the Home Instead Senior Care team in June of 2013 as a CAREGiver. She quickly impressed us with her caring and vibrant personality; so much so, that she was promoted to Administrative Assistant, so that we could enjoy her presence even more. Sara is now our Staff Coordinator, and her duties include managing the CAREGivers, arranging schedules, and ensuring compatibility between the clients and their CAREGivers.
Sara really enjoys interactions with seniors and their families. She says that she is “very blessed to go home at night knowing I have helped someone!” In her spare time, she enjoys anything outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, and Alabama football (Roll Tide Roll!). Sara is also the Youth Leader at Bangham Heights Baptist Church.
Amanda - Recruitment and Retention Manager
Amanda began her journey with the Home Instead Senior Care team in January of 2011 as a CAREGiver. She was initially promoted to Administrative Assistant, and worked her way up to Recruitment and Retention Coordinator until earlier this year. She now fills the role of Recruitment and Retention Manager which includes the responsibility of overseeing Recruitment and Retention Coordinators in both Cookeville and Crossville.
Her focus in this position is CAREGiver Retention. Her responsibilities are Follow Up Orientation Training, maintaining CAREGiver files, and working with CAREGivers to ensure a positive employment experience. She was raised in Sparta, TN and still lives there today with her husband and two sons, Corbin and Jack. Amanda is excited and proud to be able to help ensure excellent care to the seniors in the Upper Cumberland community.
Hank - Recruitment and Retention Coordinator
Hank is a Monterey, TN native and recent graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a degree in Business Management. His passion for senior care began in 2009 when his grandfather's health deteriorated, and Hank became one of his primary caregivers. He and his family shortly realized the difficulties that came with round the clock care and needed help. Home Instead was their saving grace. He was so impressed with the passion and care of Home Instead and its CAREGivers, that he decided to be a part of the highly respected company and joined the team in May 2011 working as a CAREGiver.
Hank has been promoted to Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. His responsibilities include screening and hiring CAREGivers, as well as, providing training and orientation. He is excited and honored to be in this role and plans to use his experiences to assure that Home Instead continues to have only the highest quality CAREGivers.
Rachel - Client Care Manager
Rachel is a Cookeville, TN native and a graduate of the nursing program at Tennessee Tech University. She has held various positions with Home Instead over the years and was recently promoted to Client Care Manager. Her role will involve building relationships with agencies in the Upper Cumberland in order to gain knowledge of resources that will enhance quality of life and allow clients to safely remain in their homes and age in place.
Rachel will continue working alongside Client Care Coordinators to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to clients, and is very excited for the opportunity to provide education to the community on the services that Home Instead offers.
Torri - Client Care Coordinator
Torri comes to us from Gainesboro, TN. She joined our team in July of 2014 to take on the role of Client Care Coordinator in the Cookeville area. She brings a lot of experience to this role, as she holds a degree in Social Work from Tennessee Tech University. She previously worked at Mabry Nursing Home in Gainesboro in various positions, ranging from Activities, Social Work and Admissions, and everything in between.
We are very happy to have her join our team. Torri's credentials paired with her passion for senior care make her a very valuable asset to our Client Care team. She is most excited about building relationships with clients and their families and being a devoted resource to each of them. Her main goal is to enrich each of their lives on a daily basis.
