Northside Team
Susan Phelan, Owner Susan has an MBA from the University of Illinois and spent 23 years in the high tech industry before starting her Home Instead Senior Care office. Although the mission of home care is vastly different from technology, Susan brought certain values from her prior experience and applied them successfully to the work done by this office. The organization she created is mission driven but with a business orientation that values the notion of setting and exceeding expectations and emphasizing communication. Her personal experiences of helping her parents navigate the complexity of aging have also influenced the kind of organization she has created and the way it works. Susan feels blessed to have the opportunity to so profoundly impact the lives of their clients and families. Jacqueline Boyd, Director of Client Services Jacqueline joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2006 as a staffing coordinator and to head up the organization’s new quality program. Those efforts evolved into the client care management model that is the cornerstone of the organization’s approach for supporting clients and their families. Jacqueline has a degree in psychology from Loyola University and holds a CNA certificate. Her professional experience both before and at Home Instead have been in applied social work. Jacqueline is compassionate about the clients and the families she supports and considers it an honor to assist people through the aging process. Libby Davis, Manager of Operations Libby has been a member of the Home Instead Senior Care staff since 2007 and before then had a successful career with another agency in the Chicago area. Much of her work is focused on the recruitment and retention of quality caregivers. Her high standards for hiring set the mark for anyone considered for employment. And after she hires quality peole, it is Libby’s job to retain them with training and other recognition programs. Libby is a graduate from Indiana University in Bloomington. In all facets of her job she is a advocate for the caregiver so they can in turn support our clients well. |
