Home Instead Senior Care
Brainerd, Baxter

I want to thank you so much for your attention to detail and let you know how very much we appreciate the flexibility of your staff. Every caregiver you have sent our way has been especially wonderful, professional and most of all caring. We find the caregivers easy to work with and enjoy their company as much as my mom does.

Deb Cranny, Executive Director

Armed with years of experience working with seniors and their families in long term care facilities, Deb founded the Brainerd branch of Home Instead in 2005. She has always been passionate about not only making the aging experience positive for seniors, but helping their families cope as well.

With elderly parents herself, Deb knows the importance of working with professional, trustworthy caregivers who provide the safety and quality care everyone deserves.

Deb and her husband Mike have two adult daughters, Keli and Katelin. They enjoy boating, fishing and golfing together as a family.

Cathy Zebroski, Client Services Director

Cathy, a registered nurse since 1977, has a background in acute hospital care in geriatric psych and long-term care settings.

Cathy left her 28-year nursing career to fulfill her passion of working with seniors in 2005 when she helped start Home Instead Senior Care in Brainerd. As Client Services Director, Cathy handles service calls, scheduling, staff interviews and hiring. She also oversees employee training and quality of Home Instead’s services.

Cathy and her husband Randy live on a hobby farm in rural Pine River and enjoy spending time with their five children and three grandchildren.

Jennifer Christensen, Staff Coordinator

As a mother of four now-grown children and former daycare provider for 15 years, Jennifer is a time management expert. As Staff Coordinator, she juggles approximately 222 separate schedules at Home Instead Senior Care. Jennifer enjoys matching CAREGivers and clients, creating long-lasting relationships between the two.

While at home, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, their four sons and grandchildren.

Pat Pohl, Administrative Assistant

After spending 30 years working for the USDA-Farm Service Agency, Pat retired in 2008, only to enter the workforce again — this time at Home Instead Senior Care — six months later. While retired, Pat discovered her need to be around people, always telling jokes and helping wherever needed. Originally from northern Illinois, Pat has raised two children, a nephew, a great-niece and many dogs, cats and even rodents through the years.

While a caregiver at heart, at Home Instead, Pat’s duties include payroll, billing and accounts payable.

Debbie DeRosier, Office Assistant

Using her outgoing personality, Debbie works as both receptionist and CAREGiver at Home Instead Senior Care. While in the office, she greets clients and visitors over the phone and in person.

As a CAREGiver, Debbie specializes in providing companionship to people nearing the end of life. She gets to know her clients as if they had been friends for years. Debbie often writes poetry for her clients, reflecting their life history.

Debbie is also a florist by trade, and although her schedule is usually busy, she enjoys spending time with her family whenever possible.

Paul and Lori Hogan

It All Started With Our Founders

Lori and Paul Hogan, Home Instead Senior Care Co-Founders
It was Paul and Lori Hogan’s own experience caring for Paul's grandmother in her home for 12 years that inspired them to launch Home Instead Senior Care in 1994. Realizing that there were others families like theirs that needed help to keep their loved ones safely living at home, they have devoted themselves to making home care available throughout the U.S. and around the world. It’s what they know and love, and their services allow them to make a real difference to communities, families and individuals everywhere.

Caring Is What We Do

The Hogans’ goal has always been to provide the highest-quality care in the industry, and your local team shares the same vision of being your trusted partner in care. Every Home Instead Senior Care franchise owner has demonstrated a real commitment to caring for seniors and derives personal satisfaction by responding to this critical need that is growing so rapidly.

Our CAREGiversSM Are at the Heart of It All

Our CAREGivers are residents of the local area who are carefully screened, fully bonded and insured. Each takes part in our exclusive multi-phase training and we place a high priority on matching our CAREGivers with our clients to help develop a bond that will foster independence, promote well being and support the senior’s needs with respect and dignity.

Our Guiding Principles
The Home Instead Senior Care franchise network embraces the following core values
held by the Home Office and demonstrated by our commitment to seniors:
To honor God in all we do.
To treat each other with dignity and respect.
To encourage growth in ourselves and others.
To build value in our service to others.
