Home Instead Senior Care
Bucks County

I want to thank you so much for your attention to detail and let you know how very much we appreciate the flexibility of your staff. Every caregiver you have sent our way has been especially wonderful, professional and most of all caring. We find the caregivers easy to work with and enjoy their company as much as my mom does.

Our Team: Pictured left to right.

Pamela Eelman - Community Service Representative and Marketing Director

Pamela Eelman is the Director of Community Relations and Marketing.  She spreads the Home Instead message to the seniors of Upper and Central Bucks County and their families.  A Certified Senior Advisor, Pam meets with potential clients and their families to assess their individual needs and to develop a personalized plan of care.  Formerly a Holistic Health Counselor with a private practice focused on the needs of women in mid-life, she became aware of the enormous stress adult children of aging parents face around the care of their aging parents.  “I know what these women are facing - in my head and in my heart.  I have an elderly mom who lives 2 hours away as well as a full time job and responsibilities with my own family.  I get it!  I love what I do and it gives me a tremendous sense of satisfaction.

Vicki Olsen - Client Care Coordinator

Vicki Olsen is the Client Care Coordinator.  She is responsible for ensuring that each new hire complete the required training programs as well as the optional_Alzheimer’s and newly developed Levy Body Dementia training. She is also our Quality Care Expert.  Vicki makes visits to clients to ensure that the care plan is being followed and that the senior and their families are completely satisfied with the care being provided.  Formerly a Home Instead CAREGiver, she was promoted to her current position 5 years ago.  “I love working with the elderly - it just seems to come naturally.”

William V. Rice - Owner

William Rice is the  franchiseowner and General Manager.  After retiring from his decades long engineering career, he wanted to do something that would connect him to the community. “I believe in the Home Instead philosophy - it was a good fit”. He purchased the franchise in January, 2004. A native of Long Island, Bill and his wife of 54 years make their home in Jamison.  Together they have 6 children and 14 grandchildren.  “Excellent, uncompromised service is our focus - you can expect nothing less and I accept nothing less from my team”.

Lisa Heath - Administrative Assistant

Lisa Heath is the Administrative Assistant and newest member of the office staff.  Formerly a pharmacist, Lisa saw many seniors who were struggling alone, often confused by their prescriptions, doctor’s orders and health issues.  ‘I wanted to do something that I knew would make a difference in their  lives and wanted to be part of a team and a company I could be proud of.”

Maria Basile - CAREGiver Scheduler

Maria Basille Williams is the CAREGiver Scheduler.  After review of the assessment and client care plan, she chooses the caregiver team that would best suit the client - not just their needs but their personality as well.  “While there are certainly facts to consider, I work intuitively.  I get a feel for who would fit with whom.  It’s important to me that the client not only receive excellent care, but that he’s happy with his CAREGiver - that relationship is important to me“.  Maria started with Home Instead as a CAREGiver, providing care to a 100 year old woman with whom she grew to love. After the woman’s death, she knew she wanted to more involved in the company and was promoted to this position 4 years ago.   Maria is a newlywed, married just this past July.

Ed Rehrig - Recruitment Co-ordinator

Ed Rehrig is the Human Resources Director.  He is responsible for recruitment and retention of CAREGivers.  The many requirements for employment with the office, (TB testing, drug testing, criminal background checks, checking personal and professional references, valid driver’s license and adequate auto insurance) fall to him.  “I get a feel immediately as to who would be a good care provider and who wouldn’t.  One can we taught the skills of care giving, but caring can’t be taught.  I’m always on the look-out for good and caring people - we can make them CAREGivers.  I enjoy being able to provide jobs to the community, especially in these economic times”.  (All Home Instead/Plumsteadville staff are local residents, residing within 20 miles of the Plumsteadville office.)
