When Home Instead Senior Care first became a part of Kern County, we immediately recognized the love this community has for its seniors. This drives our desire to exceed the needs of Bakersfield's elderly adults and allows them to live happy, healthy, and independent lives in their homes.
Our primary goal is to create extraordinary relationships between our clients and their CAREGivers. In the past five years, Home Instead Senior Care has become an integral part of this community. Each year, we sponsor the "Be a Santa to a Senior" event where community members donate gifts that are delivered to area seniors during the holiday season. Over the years, we have brightened the lives of thousands of Kern County seniors. In fact, the popularity of this event motivated Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall to proclaim December 6th as "Be a Santa to a Senior Day" in 2007. Individually, our staff members' community involvement is unparalleled. Co-owner Debora Savoy serves on the Kern Senior Collaborative Board, which addresses elderly issues and supports the local Kern County Office on Aging. Forest, our community service representative, also serves on the board of the Alzheimer's Association of Kern County.
