Priscilla Salas, Staffing Coordinator Priscilla has been with Home Instead Senior Care as a gold Caregiver for several years. Please read her bio and welcome her to the office in her new role!!! We asked Priscilla .. Why is working at Home Instead Senior Care personal to her? Her response follows: Working for Home Instead Senior Care is more than a job, it's personal... When I was 13 my uncle was diagnosed with cancer and my family was told he did not have much time to live. We struggled with reality then worked together to make him as comfortable as possible before he left us. That year I found a part of myself. I realized the lessons my mother had taught me about strength, determination, love, and respect were part of who I am. As long as someone needed help I would have these traits to make a difference in their lives too. Throughout my life I have cared for numerous people; listened to stories once forgotten, watched movies from years before me, and held hands with people I have loved like my own. Each one of these people taught me something new and gave me another reason why being a caregiver is very personal to me. |
