Mary Jo has been with the Burnsville Home Instead Senior Care office since December 2005. As a retired Army Veteran, Mary Jo is very organized and thorough.  Her friendly voice is usually the first thing that you will hear as you call our office. Her organizational skills have made her invaluable to our organization.  She is responsible for all invoicing, and other recordkeeping at our office.  Mary Jo is a great team player that consistently gives her best to make sure that our CAREGivers and our Clients have the BEST EXPERIENCE possible.

Vickie has been with Home Instead Senior Care in Burnsville since February of 2009 in the “Staffing Coordinator” position. She brings with her much professional experience with Customer Service and the Hospitality Industry. More importantly; Vickie, along with her family, has been through the family care giving scenarios that we are often presented with. She knows personally the difficult decisions that family members face as they try their best to navigate the senior care maze in an effort to provide care to their loved ones. Her dedication to serving the Clients and the CAREGivers of Home Instead Senior Care has made her a highly valued, Key Player in our organization.

Barb has worked in the nursing home in New Prague for 30 years; the last 20 as Director of Nursing. Although she loved the job and the people, Barb retired in 2008. Not quite ready to give up working, she looked around for the perfect job. Working as the RN for Home Instead in Burnsville seems to be the fit.  “I get to visit with Clients, teach the CAREGiver Classes, answer questions and I get to work with a great group of people who really care about our clients.” We are grateful to have a Barb on our team.


Melissa Leick

Client Care Coordinator

 

Melissa started out a as a Home Instead Senior Care “CAREGiver” in February 2007 and has transitioned into the “Client Care Coordinator” position in October 2008.

 

Prior to Home Instead Melissa spent 9 years in Sales and Customer Service. Melissa lives with her husband and 3 kids in Apple Valley, MN. Family is a huge motivator for Melissa. “Family has always been the core of my life & continues to be.  Growing up I was taught to do the best job I can & to be the best person I can- that philosophy stands true today.  I strive for excellence & improvement, both personally and professionally.  I bring a caring, positive, team playing attitude.”

 

Melissa came to Home Instead 2 weeks after her Grandma passed, and fell in love with the culture of Home Instead Senior Care. “I sooo enjoy working with my clients & feel personally rewarded after my time spent with them.  Often I think I enjoy my visits with my clients more then they enjoy my assistance. I have life long relationships & I have adopted grandmas in the south of the river area.”

 

Today her job consists of doing Client and CAREGiver Introductions, Quality Assurance visits, and in general making sure that Clients that are entrusted into our care are getting the BEST experience possible in Home Care. We are blessed to have Melissa on our team.

Recruitment & Retention Coordinator


Colleen was a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care before starting to work full time as a “Staffing Coordinator” in our office. Her past experiences include Retail and Customer Service. Most importantly Colleen was a caregiver for her father who lived in the Iron Range in Minnesota. So like many others in her situation she spent many weekend making the trek up north to see her father and to make sure that he had all his needs met.

 

Colleen brings with her a professional demeanor and the experience that only someone who has been there can understand. We are extremely pleased to have Colleen as a member of our team.

Jarod Mathiason

Community Service Representative

 

Jarod Mathiason is the newest addition to our team. From a young age Jarod has been exposed to the changing face of senior care, as his family owned two assisted living homes and a Adult Day Care. Jarod was able to see firsthand how important Quality of Care is and the difference it makes to seniors and their families alike.

 

“One thing I have learned over the years is that seniors would ultimately prefer to stay in their homes but are unable to completely care for themselves; forcing them to move. I now have started a career with Home Instead as the Community Service Representative and couldn’t be happier to be part of a service that allows seniors and their families to live happier, more filling lives in their own homes.”

 

Jarod is the face of Home Instead Senior Care in the South of the River area as he works to educate the community about the resources available through Home Instead Senior Care. He lives in Faribault, MN with his wife and now 3 boys. Jarod and his wife welcomed their newest addition to the family this summer; another baby boy that was born this past July.

On-Call Supervisor

 

Jodi has been a Home Instead Senior Care “CAREGiver” and has been an incredible addition to our team as an “On-Call Supervisor”. Her role is vital in helping to deal with any after hour’s issues that might arise. Jodi brings a professional attitude and a big heart to the work that she does. We are fortunate to have her on our team.


Kellie Bixby

Kellie started with Home Instead Senior Care in September of 2009 as a CAREGiver. She continues to work with Clients to this day and enjoys this part of her job the most. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant, and excels at caring for seniors in their own homes. When asked about doing care giving work Kellie put it this way “Working with our Clients is a very rewarding career” Kelly lives in the South metro with her two kids.


Susan Hutchins

On-Call Supervisor

 

Susan has been with Home Instead Senior Care for five years. She continues to work as a CAREGiver in addition to being one of our On-Call Supervisors. Before working with Home Instead Senior Care Susan worked for the VA Medical Center for 32 ½ years before retiring. She has 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren, they all live in the south metro. Susan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, and crocheting.
