On December 1st, the community can begin sponsoring seniors in the Austin and surrounding areas by picking up ornaments with seniors’ names and purchasing gift packages from Walgreens.
You can find ornaments and drop off boxes at any Walgreens cosmetic department in the following cities:
· Austin · Pflugerville · Round Rock · Cedar Park
· Hutto · Bee Caves · Leander · West Lake Hills
· Lakeway
Each ornament features the first name and initial of a senior. After obtaining an ornament, holiday shoppers are invited to purchase the items included in the gift package and then drop them off unwrapped at the same Walgreens location. Items included in the gift package can be found at any box location. Sponsors should attach the ornament to the unwrapped gift. Meals on Wheels and More and other participating partners will help the Home Instead Senior Care office collect, wrap and deliver the gifts to area seniors.
The Last Day to drop off gifts is on December 17th
