		Hello and welcome to our website!. My name is Laurel McIntyre and I am the Director of Staff Coordination for our Home Instead Senior Care office. I am a native Californian and was born and raised right here in the city of Hollywood. Before joining the Home Instead Senior Care family in August 2005, I worked for a party staffing company for 4 years and scheduled wait staff, chefs, and bartenders for parties and events in the San Francisco and Bay Area. I have over 20 years administrative experience. My primary job function is to supervise and manage the coordination of our wonderful caregivers when they are assigned to work with one of our senior clients. In doing this, I manage our Assistant Staff Coordinator, Deanna Moreno and our Quality Assurance Coordinator, Nancy Robinson. I am also responsible to respond to Client and CAREGiver concerns or issues and work diligently to resolve these matters in a timely fashion with the ultimate goal of achieving a positive outcome. In addition, I process bi-monthly Client billing and CAREGiver payroll, and interview prospective CAREGiever applicants. The most challenging part of my job is overseeing the matching and placement of just the right CAREGiver for each client and I am always pleased when clients tell me how happy they are with the CAREGiver that Home Instead Senior Care has provided. I get so much satisfaction in the job that I do and take tremendous pride in assisting our senior clients stay at home where they are happiest. I am honored to be proud to be a part of the Home Instead Senior Care family and take pride in being a part of making a difference in the life of a senior in our local community. 		Welcome to Home Instead Senior Care! I am the Director of Care Coordination for our office and as such, am likely to be the first person you see from Home Instead Senior Care. My responsibilities include initial consultations and assessments, formulation of the non-medical homecare "Care Plan," referral to appropriate resources for additional support, assisting our Staffing Director with CAREGiver selection, coordinating the initial introduction and start of service, ongoing monitoring and supervision of our Non-Medical Home Care Management Program, conferring with other service providers to ensure all care needs are met and educating various service providers in the community regarding our services. I also bring our community service program, 'Songs from the Heart' to various Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Livings and Board and Care facilities. 'Songs from the Heart' was developed as a way for our office to give back to the community we serve. Keep checking our website for venue information - coming soon! My background consists of more than twenty years experience in Social Services: UCLA's Out Patient Geriatric Medical Center, various skilled nursing and out patient programs, private case management and conservatorship, and In-Pt. locked dual diagnosis units for adolescents, adults and Geriatrics. I am confident that Home Instead Senior Care provides the best comprehensive care available, with the highest level of integrity possible in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
