Our Inspiration
As a little girl, Kristi was her father's constant companion. As a non-denominational minister, Richard Haynes held down numerous jobs in order to do what he loved, helping God's people, and feed his family of four. Richard would referee men's city league basketball, flag football, umpire AAA softball, or drive the school bus for the local high school band or dance team. Kristi would tag along and be "daddy's little helper".
Throughout the years of Richard's preaching, Kristi learned the power of serving. She learned that in helping people she found the satisfaction and joy knowing she made a positive difference in the lives around her. Richard taught her to say what you mean, mean what you say. Regardless of the easy road, do what is right and honorable. Blessings are earned.
At the young age of 62, Richard learned his health complications would be a long and difficult road to endure. Cancer together with heart problems would be a pair of challenging illnesses. Two years later, after multiple visits to the hospital and hospice, those challenges overcame his fragile body.
However, it was through this family experience that Kristi understands the frustrations and anxiety adult children endure caring and loving for their parents. Through owning the Home Instead Senior Care franchises, the goal is to help seniors like her father Richard and their families cope with the challenges of aging at home. More specifically, to help seniors stay "home instead" of having to relocate.
