Ben Klipsch, Owner
Ben has been successfully providing care for seniors in Southern Indiana for over 5 years. "My wife, Julie, and I made a conscious decision to raise a family in this area. We are so lucky to get so much from our community; we want to give something back. I look forward to working with this dedicated staff in helping our senior population maintain their independence and quality of life."
Ben graduated from Purdue in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. After graduation he went to work for Ameriqual and was fortunate to work in a company that developed and fostered tremendous growth over his 18 years there. Ben recognizes and appreciates the value each of his Administrative team brings to Home Instead. One of Ben's greatest strengths is his ability to empower each and every employee to grow both professionally and personally. He takes great pride in bringing out the "greatness" of each of his employees, whether they are part of our Administrative Team or one of our extraordinary CAREGivers.
Kayla Anderson, Account Specialist
Kayla joined our team in July of 2008 as the Administrative Assistant, and is now in charge of our client billing as the Account Specialist. She was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Indiana in 2001. She attended Olivet Nazarene University for coursework in Sociology. Kayla was married in June of 2007. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. Before joining our team she worked in medical offices as an Optometric Tech and a Chiropractic Therapeutic Assistant. Her Grandmother had dementia, so helping people that suffer from the disease is something she is very passionate about. She really enjoys working for a company that helps to make a difference in people's lives.
Laurie Braley, Staffing Coordinator
Laurie joined our team in November of 2008 as our Staffing Coordinator. Wanting to leave the "Big City" she moved to Bloomfield from Chicago with her husband of 20 years and their 16 year old daughter. In Chicago, Laurie was a Senior Customer Service Representative for a medical review company. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Brandi Wolfe, Staffing Coordinator
Brandi joined our team as a Staffing Coordinator in February 2012. She brings over eleven years of office experience to our office. Brandi lives in Bloomfield with her 10 year old son Jordan. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Anissa Headlee, Care Manager
Anissa joined the Home Instead team in November of 2012. She currently serves as our Client Care Manager. Anissa brings 25 years of experience as a medical professional (EMT, MA) to our staff. She is uniquely skilled to help our clients improve their aging process. "I have a passion for working with seniors," she said. "I love visiting with our clients and talking with them to ensure our quality of care is to their satisfaction. Knowing that I'm able to make a difference in their lives gives me great pleasure.
She has three children. When not at work, she prefers to spend time outdoors with her family.
Karen Gunderman, Care Manager
Karen joined our team in March of 2009. She most recently came from The Olcott Center at Bloomington Hospital and Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She is originally from Indianapolis. She's been married for 20 years to Tim, they have 5 cats. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, scrapbooking, painting, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Her fondest memories are of summers spent with her grandparents, listening to their stories and working in the rose garden.
Joe Yonkman, Marketing Manager
Joe Yonkman joined the Home Instead team in the fall of 2012. Senior care is his passion. "Unfortunately, my grandparents passed away when I was very little, so I didn't have much experience with seniors. Then, at the recommendation of a friend, I volunteered at a long term care facility," he said. "It changed my life. I found a passion and made a career change. I knew that I wanted to work for a company that would allow me to interact with seniors. I'm really lucky to be at Home Instead. It's not just a slogan.to us, it really is personal."
Joe is a graduate of Indiana University and he lives in Bloomington with his two dogs and five urban chickens.
Melissa Pabst, Operations Manager
Melissa joined the HISC family in June 2012. As a former Executive Director for a retirement community in Terre Haute, she brings over 15 years experience in the senior care industry. Melissa is dedicated to providing quality care to seniors allowing them to stay in the comforts of their own homes. "I am very proud to work for a company that truly cares about making a difference in the lives of seniors". Melissa now calls Bedford home and travels to Terre Haute as much as possible to spend time with her three sons and two grandsons.
Nancy Bruce, Administrative Assistant
Nancy joined the Home Instead family in August of 2012 initially as a CAREgiver and now in the office as an Administrative Assistant. Nancy has more than fifteen years of experience in a wide variety of healthcare positions. Her knowledge of the wide spectrum of healthcare is valuable to both our office staff and our clients. Her passion for senior care makes her the perfect fit within our office. "I grew up in a community of seniors and I've always had a passion for their well being. Joining the Home Instead team allows me to pursue that passion and help improve the quality of life for our clients," she said.
Nancy has been married to her husband Gary for 34 years. They live in Bloomington and they have two daughters and five grandchildren. "Other than working with Joe Yonkman, being a grandmother is the best thing that's ever happened to me." Spending time with her family is one of her favorite things
