Amy Herkins, Co-Owner

Prior to purchasing Home Instead Senior Care in West Chester with Phil McFadden in April 2007, Amy started her career there as a CAREGiver.  She soon began sharing her time between CAREGiving and assisting in the office.  Rapid growth necessitated the need for Amy to focus on office functions including scheduling, recruiting/retention, and payroll.  Amy soon became the Manager of Staff Operations for the West Chester office which is still her main focus as an owner.

Amy’s professional background includes management positions as a travel agent; as well as, ownership/partnership in Crossroads Consignment and Mary Wilson’s Luncheonette, both formerly located in Malvern, PA.  She attended the University of Delaware concentrating her studies on sociology and health services and is a graduate of Immaculata University with a degree in Human Performance Management.

Amy was born and raised in Chester County.  Her family’s county roots date back to the early 1800s.  She embraces the opportunity to continually provide top quality service to our county’s senior citizens.

Phil McFadden, Co-Owner

He has a pre-med degree from West Chester University and is a graduate of Bishop Shanahan as well as St. Joseph’s in Downingtown. Phil and his wife Niki McFadden celebrated the birth of their first child, a son, Chase Christian this past December.
