Vancouver resident Joanie Peckels will be the belle of the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball Saturday. Peckels, who works for Home Instead Senior Care, applied for the ball’s Cinderella contest, open to survivors of heart disease or stroke. She was selected through a drawing as the winner.
