Reed and Christina O’Brien bring both personal and professional perspective to their ownership of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving the Morristown-Sevierville area.
Prior to living in Tennessee, the O’Briens lived in Jackson, Miss., where Reed worked for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It was that experience – helping people whose lives had been turned upside down in the blink of an eye – that made him realize that his life’s mission would be best served in a career that helped others.
Growing up in the Mississippi Delta, Christina felt first-hand the effects of caring for an aging loved one.
Both of her grandmothers lived with her family when she was a child; and she and her siblings became their caregivers. Those experiences, coupled with a background in television news and pharmaceutical sales, are what led Christina to know that she wanted to do something that made a difference.
Combining their knowledge, drive and compassion for others led the O’Briens to acquire the Morristown-Sevierville office of Home Instead Senior Care in May 2007. What’s been important to Reed and Christina from day one is providing top-notch customer service to everyone they work with. They believe in treating all with dignity and respect, as well as operating with honesty and integrity. Every day, Reed, Christina and the Administrative Team live by their mission statement: “To make a difference in the lives of the seniors we serve.”
In addition to a passion for their business, the O’Briens understand that family comes first. They enjoy spending time with their three children and exploring the great outdoors.
