Our short-term recovery services are an outstanding solution that allows seniors to recover at home following hospitalization for surgery, an illness or an accident. Home Instead Senior Care’s® services can mean a shorter stay in a rehabilitation facility, and it’s proven that people rebound more quickly in the comfort of their own home.
We can work with your loved one's discharge planner or social worker at the hospital, assisted living residence, or rehabilitation hospital to be sure the proper plan is in place for them to come home.
Non-Medical Care and Home Helper Services
Sometimes a little extra help can make a difference in how soon patients can return home, and Home Instead Senior Care is ready to assist with caregiver companionship and home helper services. Our non-medical services include things like grocery shopping, meal preparation, running errands, caring for a pet, transportation for getting your loved one to medical doctor appointments and physical therapy, and even assistance with household chores like dusting, making beds and doing laundry. And some Home Instead Senior Care offices (including the Naperville, Aurora, and Fox Valley area) provide personal care services* such as medication reminders, dressing, bathing, hygiene assistance, grooming, eating and ambulation assistance.
*While the Naperville and St. Charles franchise offices DO provide personal care services, not all Home Instead Senior Care locations offer personal care. Please check with your local office.
