Roger Carr Roger Carr is the owner of our Home Instead Senior Care franchise. He comes from Downers Grove, IL, and has a wife and son. Roger had a background in business, and was a computer programmer, when his father was diagnosed with lung cancer. This is when Roger became a family caregiver, helping out his parents with everything he could as his dad went through chemo. He thought there had to be someone out there who could help families like his. Shortly after his father passed away, Roger found Home Instead Senior Care, and opened our office in September 2003. He enjoys getting to take care of people who really need our help, and seeing our staff come together to make it work. If you ask Roger what his main duty is, as owner, he'll tell you, "My main duty is to make sure we have a culture of service to our seniors."   Chris Mootrey Chris Mootrey lives in Plainfield, IL and has two daughters. He joined Home Instead Senior Care in early 2008, after seventeen years as a social worker, with a background in long term care facilities. As Client Care Coordinator, Chris acts as our social worker by introducing CAREGivers to their clients, doing any specific training needed for individual clients, making Quality Assurance Visits to clients' homes, and acting as a liaison between clients, CAREGivers, and the office whenever needed. He also helps our clients recovering from hospitalizations by working with their discharge planner to make sure they have a smooth transition going home and having a CAREGiver. Chris says he really enjoys the interaction of getting to meet clients and their families.  Kristen Kostal Kristen Kostal lives in St. Charles, IL. Kristen first found a passion for taking care of people as a teenager, when she volunteered as a candy striper at a local convalescent center. In later years, she also volunteered at an elder daycare near her home. After having taken care of both of her grandmothers and her great aunt, Kristen joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2009 as a CAREGiver. Since that time, Kristen has graduated Elgin Community College and become certified in Gerentology. By the end of 2010, Kristen was promoted to become the newest Community Service Representative on our team.  David Kaszynski David Kaszynski was raised in LaSalle, IL with 7 other siblings. After 20 years with the Pacific Stock Exchange, he moved back home to help his Mom who suffered a stroke. She passed away three years later. David joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2004. "I wanted to do something that gave back to others." David is our Service Coordinator. This means he manages CAREGiver/Client schedules, invoicing, and coordinating clients who are Military Veterans with the VA to help them utilize their VA benefits for care. He enjoys working with the Clients, Families, CAREGivers, and Office Staff, and loves to make people laugh!  Sue Lauritzen Sue Lauritzen lives in Naperville, IL. After years in hospitality management, she joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2007 as Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. Sue is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and training our team of CAREGivers. This includes performing background and reference checks to ensure we have the best CAREGivers to provide the best care for our clients. Sue believes this is a perfect fit for her skills and truly enjoys the interview process, as well as extending job opportunities to some very special men and women.  Joy Griffin Joy Griffin lives in Naperville, IL and joined Home Instead Senior Care as Staff Coordinator in 2008. With her family experience with Alzheimer's, and with history of her own mobility issues from leg injuries and disability leaving her needing a CAREGiver in the past, Joy found Home Instead to be a natural fit. "I like being able to help people who are going through similar situations that I've been through." As Staff Coordinator, Joy does CAREGiver/Client scheduling, verifies CAREGiver hours worked for accuracy, and assists with CAREGiver payroll and Clients' Long Term Care Insurance claims.  Sue Davison Sue Davison lives in Wheaton, IL. She took care of her own mom, when her mom was on hospice, and understands the difficulties our clients' families face. She has been working with seniors since 1979 through Central DuPage Hospital, Wyndemere Senior Living, the Senior Center of Glen Ellyn, and is a Senior Health Insurance Coordinator with the State of Illinois. "I love Seniors!" she says. Sue joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2004 as Senior Service Representative. She helps out with introducing CAREGivers to clients, visiting clients in their homes and facilities, and assisting with CAREGiver training meetings. Fun fact: Sue is also an instructor for the Senior Citizen's Police Academy of Glen Ellyn.  Our CAREGivers Our CAREGivers are all wonderful people with a passion for helping others. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups, and live locally. Our CAREGivers have all passed criminal background checks - above and beyond state guideline requirements. They are all English-speaking, and are screened, trained, bonded and insured. Because they are our employees, we take care of all the paperwork, so you never have to worry about filing a 1099 or other tax issues. And, we manage the schedule and Client/CAREGiver relationship. |
