Dear Home Instead Staff,
Home Instead allowed my husband, Don, to stay at home longer. Your services began first as a companion but developed into full time care relieving the stress for me so I could more realistically deal with his Alzheimer’s and diabetes.
When a regular caregiver was unavailable or called on short notice for the weekend or another shift, it was immediately filled in during that period of time.
Their smile, positive attitude, reliability and compassion to serving a client was extraordinary.
Home instead is a trusted resource. I am so grateful.

Wanted to let you know what a great pleasure it was to use Home Instead services. Our Aunt Naomi went from needing services two days a week, to every day, to twenty-four hours a day in less than two weeks. You came to the house to help us set up the initial services and since we live out of state, just a phone call and more services were set up, just as we needed them. The caregivers were all very kind to Naomi, assisting her with everything from dressing and toileting to cooking her meals and helping with her mail. You made many visits and did special errands to pick up meds and supplies when the caregivers were not able to leave Naomi alone. It was nice to talk with them over the phone to see how she was doing, and they would assist her in calling us if she needed to talk about things. Since my husband and I are both nurses, we especially like have some student nurses as caregivers. They can learn a lot from a home situation and were very fun to talk with. One caregiver slept on the floor of Naomi’s bedroom when she was frightened to stay in the room by herself. I would say the whole agency when beyond the call of duty to assist us and Naomi. Thank you for all your hard work in setting up companions to be with my mom, Rita, over the last several weeks. Her sister is home now, but Mom feels like she’s made some new friends. I appreciate the good care and companionship she received, and that your services allowed us to be with our daughter at an important time in her life and then to continue our regular work schedules. More importantly, Mom was able to stay in familiar surroundings most of the time which is much better for her.
Thanks again to you and all “The Gals” who helped Mom.
