Be A Santa To A Senior
In 2006 the Sioux City office implemented the Be A Santa To A Senior Program within the Siouxland community. What better way to say thank you to the seniors who have contributed so much to our community already than by sharing the Holiday cheer with them. The Be A Santa To A Senior program helps those seniors who wouldn’t be able to afford to celebrate the holiday season or wouldn’t have anyone to share the happiness with; so we help them receive a little extra cheer to brighten their season.
In 2006 we delivered 57 gifts and by 2009 we grew to deliver over 250 gifts. With the repeated support of Siouxland businesses like Wal-Mart, Bomgaars, K-Mart, Palmer Candy, Curves for Women, Siouxland Surgery Center, the numerous volunteers, and so many more made this program even more successful than we ever imagined. Without their support, dedication, and belief in our mission, success wouldn’t have been possible. In fact, December 19, 2007 was designated as the City of Sioux City’s Be A Santa To A Senior Day by Mayor Craig Berenstein.

Memory Walk
We believe that any cause to help seniors live a better life, is definitely worth taking an interest in; that is why the Sioux City office has participated in the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Memory Walk since 2007. We have sponsored the event, been awarded the Top Business Fundraiser Award, and walked to show our support in the hopes of finding a cure to the Alzheimer’s Disease.
