Dennis and Vickie Wade, Franchise Owners

Dennis is a Certified Public Accountant with over 33 years experience providing tax and accounting services to his clients. His wife Vickie has even more experience as a homemaker and caregiver. Together, they became Home Instead Franchise Owners in 2001 with their first office in Goodlettsville. In 2007, they expanded with a second location in Clarksville - their territory now covers a nine county area of Middle Tennessee. Their Home Instead Senior Care team now includes more than 100 CAREGivers.

"It's our job as owners to build a dedicated team of people; to ensure our senior clients get wonderful care. We enjoy talking with clients and CAREGivers in person. It's so satisfying to help them find solutions."

Being employed at Nashville Memorial Hospital as an LPN in the early 1990’s to working in nursing homes, a doctor’s office, assisted living facilities and home health care gives Terri the advantage of availing Home Instead clients to her vast knowledge and care.

Rebecca Wade, Medwaiver Coordinator

Rebecca is the daughter of franchise owners, Dennis and Vickie Wade, and has been an important member of the staff since the company opened more than 10 years ago. As a graduate of Davidson Academy, Rebecca went through her high school years with her great-grandmother living in the same house. This experience helped her to identify with each family Home Instead assists and prepared her for her role in the company. She started her career with Home Instead answering the phone, stuffing envelopes and taking care of computer issues. As the Medwaiver coordinator, Rebecca helps coordinate the clients and CAREGivers schedules with the various insurance groups to help make sure the clients are getting quality care to fit each individual budget.

"We truly want to help. Even if we aren't the right option for a family, we try hard to be a good resource - getting people where they need to go."

Kathy Barber, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Kathy Barber comes to Home Instead with over 30 years of management and customer service experience in the banking industry and was also a caregiver to her mother. Her corporate knowledge makes Kathy a valuable member of the Home Instead staff. She is a resident of Madison and has two grown children.

"My mother said to me, “Inside I'm 40, but my body is older and it just won't cooperate.” I learned from her that we should not treat seniors like they don't know anything."
