Elderhaus Adult Day Programs, Inc. Receives a Grant to Help Local Seniors Fort Collins, April 20, 2009. As part of a $10,000 grant from The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, Elderhaus Adult Day Programs will provide a Mental Health Counseling Project in Larimer County for local senior citizens. Elderhaus is partnering with Aging Center of the Rockies to provide on-site professional psychological counseling for the participants and their caregivers. Local community research indicates that only 1% or fewer elderly persons receive the necessary psychiatric care to support the aging challenges they face. The program will provide services to approximately 350 seniors in need of assistance in meeting their nutritional needs; through hot meals delivered by volunteers, five days a week.
