Home Instead Senior Care
Jackson

I want to thank you so much for your attention to detail and let you know how very much we appreciate the flexibility of your staff. Every caregiver you have sent our way has been especially wonderful, professional and most of all caring. We find the caregivers easy to work with and enjoy their company as much as my mom does.

It All Started With Our Franchise Owners

Our Story

Wynn & Amy Esterline, Franchise Owners

Our Home Instead Senior Care story began many years ago.  I, Wynn, was searching for something meaningful, a career and journey that I was passionate about.  In the late 90’s my parents were caring for Great Aunt Helena.  She lived in Monroe, Michigan and my parents were living in Manitou Beach, Michigan.  It was a round trip of over two hours.  Living with Parkinson’s disease she was only interested in living out the rest of her life in her home residence of more than forty years.  It was difficult managing and supporting her wishes, like many families face.  My parents were able to help her carry out her wishes.  With this experience we knew that Helena wasn’t the only one that could use some extra assistance helping her remain safe and independent in her home.  We spent more than a year researching Senior Care and Home Care.  We found that the Home Instead Senior Care franchise network was the best option for us and the community that we serve.  We have dedicated our life and the last ten years to helping clients and families just like ours.

Our Guiding Principles
The Home Instead Senior Care franchise network embraces the following core values
held by the Home Office and demonstrated by our commitment to seniors:
To honor God in all we do.
To treat each other with dignity and respect.
To encourage growth in ourselves and others.
To build value in our service to others.

Barb Blaker - Staff Coordinator

Barb and her husband, Jack have been married for 35yrs. They have 3 Children and 7 grandchildren that they absolutely adore. They are very active in their church and community.

Barb started at Home Instead Senior Care on December 1st 2004. Barb has met and worked with so many compassionate and kind CAREGivers over the last 6yrs and has developed some wonderful friendships with many of them.

Barb handles all staffing for our Jackson and Lenawee CAREGivers and Clients. When staffing and handling call offs, Barb tries to follow James 1:19 everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Barb truly believes in Home Instead Senior Cares core values; to honor God in all we do, to treat each other with dignity and respect, to encourage growth in ourselves and others and to build value in our service to others.

Ginny Wagoner - Recruitment & Retention Coordinator

Ginny Wagoner has served as the Recruitment & Retention Coordinator for our franchise operations in both Lenawee & Jackson counties for almost five years. This position is a Human Resources function, involving both the hiring our CAREGivers as well as employee relations - retaining our employees.

Ginny brought to Home Instead years of previous experience in both Personnel and Training & Development.  Here she manages the extensive hiring process, employee performance, and oversees our employee training and social gatherings.

Ginny has been a family caregiver managing the responsibilities of care for her own parents.  She experienced the need for quality care as a family member.  Having that experience she is inspired to find the most caring and capable CAREGivers we can to ensure quality care for our Home Instead Senior Care clients and their families.
