| How are CAREGivers selected? First, the Home Instead Senior Care franchise network looks for people that have a passion to help seniors live independently. Then each potential CAREGiver must successfully complete a thorough personal and professional reference and criminal background check. Each CAREGiver is also bonded and insured. |
Who do we call when we have questions, challenges, or schedule changes? What will be done about it?
Any time you have questions, concerns, challenges or schedule changes, please call the office. We are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We will do whatever we can to assist you. |
| How do you train your CAREGivers? Home Instead CAREGivers participate in an exclusive senior care training program, which covers the most practical topics and situations encountered in providing elder care. |
Are you a member of the better business bureau?
We are an AAA status member of the Better Business Bureau and have been for over five years. We encourage anyone looking in to home care to contact the BBB. |
How much notice do I need to give your office in order to get home care?
Of course, the more notice you can give the better as this allows us to give you the best possible customer service. However, if you are not able to give much notice due to unforeseeable circumstances, we can accommodate your needs in as little as a few hours, depending on your specific situation. The initial evaluation and plan of care is free of charge, and there is no obligation. |
| What happens if my CAREGiver gets sick? That is why the Home Instead Senior Care franchises employ a CAREGiver team approach. If one CAREGiver is sick, another is normally available to meet your home care needs. |
How am I billed and who bills my insurance?
We bill twice monthly. We will send all bills to the financially responsible person for payment. If you do have insurance and have provided us with all policy information, we will submit a detailed invoice, along with the required documentation as a courtesy billing. |
| Do you provide senior services to those in nursing homes or assisted living facilities? Yes, Home Instead CAREGivers provide elderly companionship to residents in assisted living facilities and nursing homes who may require additional attention and/or personalized long term care. |
| What makes Home Instead Senior Care different from other companies? As the world's largest, most trusted home care company, no one else provides comprehensive CAREGiver training, client-CAREGiver compatibility and quality assurance. Home Instead Senior Care actively lobbies to keep senior care affordable and has the largest number of participants in the National Private Duty Association (NPDA). No other in-home, senior care company has earned the deep level of trust among clients, their family members and friends, and thousands of home health care, medical and social elder care organizations as Home Instead Senior Care. |
| Who pays the CAREGiver, you or me? Your CAREGiver is employed by his or her locally, independentally owned and operated franchise, which means the local office handles all the billing, payroll, taxes, insurance and administrative responsibilities for your CAREGiver. |
| Why should I use Home Instead Senior Care rather than someone out of the newspaper? There are several reasons why Home Instead Senior Care should be your choice for elderly companionship and home care. All CAREGivers are screened, trained, bonded and insured, and you don't need to worry about figuring out taxes. Plus, the Home Instead Senior Care network's large staff of quality employees ensures that the most compatible and reliable CAREGiver will be there for your family member or friend - even if your CAREGiver gets sick or moves away. |
| What are your rates and minimum hours of service? Rates and service hours vary by office. Please contact the Home Instead Senior Care office nearest you for specific rate information. |
| Is Home Instead Senior Care a maid service? No, but CAREGivers can provide light housekeeping, laundry and ironing. |
