At Home Instead Senior Care, we strive to build a culture that creates unity among our CAREGivers, Clients and Office Staff. One of the many ways that we have done this is with the creation of our CAREGiver Cafe. This cafe has proven to be a great benefit to our company for many reasons. Often times, our CAREGivers like talking about their experiences with their clients over a cup of coffee in a more comfortable environment. This has allowed all of us to share in the experiences that our CAREGivers live every day in their work with Home Instead Senior Care clients. It's a wonderful environment to not only share our successes, but to provide often needed support that our CAREGivers request.
Our cafe has also proven to be an excellent reception to those men and women that are interested in the possibility of joining our Home Instead Senior Care family. Below are some of the comments that both applicants and now-current CAREGivers have shared with us about our CAREGiver Cafe:
Betty J. - "I was shocked at how nice everyone was at Home Instead Senior Care. It was definitely a change in scenery that I had not been getting everywhere else. I felt like I was filling out my application at Starbucks."
Paula B. - "So far my experience with Home Instead Senior Care has been wonderful. The other day, my cousin and I were out shopping and wanting to get a cup of coffee so we just went to the office to get our coffee there. There was a CAREGiver training class going on so they even had food for us when we got there. My cousin actually asked for an application after that."
Ruth G. - "I went to the office to fill out an application and be interviewed. I used my lunch break from work because I didn't think it would take that long. By the time I did my interview with Barbara and talked with another applicant in the Cafe, I realized I had been there for almost 3 hours. What a great start to my new part-time career."
Lillian H. - "I've been working for Home Instead Senior Care for over six years and it seems like every time I come to the office, something new is happening. This time hit the mark because I had just left my overnight shift and my client had a rough night so I was exhausted. They brought me in the CAREGiver Cafe and I bet I drank a whole pot before I left."
