If you're looking for extraordinary in-home senior care and elderly companionship, you've come to the right place - Home Instead of Trumbull, CT. To Us, It's Personal. Sharon Massafra ~ Owner Sharon makes other people's quality of life a priority in all aspects of her own life. After years of working within the hospital setting of the healthcare industry in management positions, in 2000 sharon was the first to bring a Home Instead Senior Care franchise to Fairfield County. A longtime advocate for the elderly outside of her job, Sharon was ill herself when she realized how difficult it was for independent people to rely on others for care. She decided to launch her own nonmedical homecare agency and found that the global company Home Instead Senior Care embodied the services and quality of care she wanted to bring to the Connecticut people. Sharon has always had a love of animals, gardening and bird watching. These hobbies have been with her in one way or another for a long time. She says her love for animals has helped her in her work and relationships with the elderly for many years. "I did volunteer work at connecticut Hospice in the early 80s." Many of the terminally ill patients were elderly. I found that talking about bird watching, their pets at home and gardening were very safe, soothing topics to discuss." "The elderly have taught me so many things through those conversations and throughout my life. I want to give them something back." Robert Massafra ~ Co-owner Robert Massafra is one of the owners of the Trumbull, CT Home Instead Senior Care. Robert began working with his wife Sharon in their business two years ago.
