What Our CAREGivers Are Saying...
"Home Instead listens to the needs of the clients and the caregivers.
They make sure to give good insight regarding clients before you go into the
home. The office staff goes out on the first visit with the caregiver to observe
and make sure that everyone is comfortable. Then they continuously follow up
to make sure they have matched the right caregiver with the right client.
Home Instead encourages training, continuing education, Alzheimer care, etc
so the caregiver can perform a better job. They are dedicated to helping people
who really have a need.
You can tell you've made an impact in the client's life when they do not
want you to leave for the day. This is the most rewarding job I've ever had
because I can see the difference I'm making. I want to help the client regain
their mobility so they will not need my assistance. It's gratifying to see
them become independent again. I leave every shift fully enlightened and thinking
what I could do better tomorrow for the client. This job makes you want to
go home and dance!"

"This is the first agency I've worked for that shows love and compassion
through things such as Birthday and Christmas cards, presents or small tokens.
Home Instead has compassion for the clients, caregivers and the families.
Home Instead carefully chose their caregivers so the best person for the
job is picked. I love to cook and clean, so they place me with clients that
need this type of assistance. If my client and I have the same principles and
the same goals, then we can achieve success."

"I find it extremely rewarding to know that I am helping a client lead
a normal life through the assistance that I provide. We really make a difference.
Helping a client retain their dignity is a very important part of my job
as a caregiver. I had a client that used a wheelchair, but still wanted to
walk with his walker from time to time. I'd stay right with him every step
of the way, and he enjoyed the independence, and it made him feel worthwhile."

"There is always good support from the office and they follow up to
make sure that everyone is happy and all needs are being met. They try to get
to know everyone so you do not feel like you're alone out there."

"Home Instead Senior Care is a wonderful place to work. I'm able to
give the best care possible because my training is always up-to-date so I know
what to do and not to do in any situation that may arise"

"Home Instead Senior Care has taught me that patience is the key.
The office staff knows everyone on a first name basis and recognizes your
voice when you call in with a question. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and
comfortable. Home Instead is invaluable to all involved because they always
put the needs of the client's family first as well as the client.
You are making a difference in someone's life when you work for Home Instead."

"The fact that I know I'm needed is what I most enjoy about being a
caregiver. If I can be of service in any way, if I can change a down mood into
a happy one or turn tears of sadness into tears of laughter, that is the most
rewarding thing for me."
Sameemah W
"To some people this may seem trivial, but the fact that I am able to
be there so my clients have someone to eat a meal with or share their stories
with is so important. I also think it is very important to keep them as independent
as they can be. That independence is often very vital to their health and well-being.
Les and Roberta (Farnum) are the best employers I have ever had. They honestly
care about their employees and their happiness."
