The Alzheimer's Society is the leading voluntary heath organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. It is their mission to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP)
The Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) is Canada's association for people 50 and older. Their mission is to promote and protect the quality of life for older Canadians.

Champlain Dementia Network

The purpose of the Champlain Dementia Network is to further develop a more coordinated and efficient system for clinical care and service delivery, education, research and policy development related to dementia. Its goals are to:
  • develop a more coordinated system of assessment and treatment services
  • address gaps and issues in service provision
  • develop more coordinated educational and information services in dementia for clients, caregivers, referring physicians and agencies
  • develop coordinated research efforts into dementia and associated problems
  • provide a coordinated focus on public policy issues
  • advocate for regional needs and when relevant, for local needs
  • advise the Champlain LHIN on matters related to dementia in the Champlain region
  • collaborate with the Regional Geriatric Advisory Committee
  • collaborate with other Networks as appropriate



National Family Caregivers Association
