Business Owner Profile

Our Home Instead Senior Care office is now in its 7th year of business and is an independantly owned and operated service specializing in the North Toronto, North York, Don Mills and Willowdale areas.

Sharon Galway BSc. RN - Owner

Sharon is a Health Care Professional with 30+ years experience dedicated to Ontario's Health Care System, and just as importantly she posses a heartfelt desire to work with seniors and their families in our North Toronto and North York community.  Sharon, during her tenure with the Ontario Health Care System, was involved with the development of province wide strategies against Elder Abuse.

Sharon decided to run her own Home Instead Senior Care office to ensure that CARE with compassion remained an integral part of her life.  She chose Home Instead as their core principles and values were so closely aligned.  Sharon brings her skills as a geriatric care manager to support seniors and their families in obtaining the resources and support required to age well for as long as possible.

Together with Home Instead co-founder, Paul Hogan, Sharon was recently a guest on Voice of America™, Talk Radio Network. She participated in a discussion on caring for seniors with Dr. Gordon Atherley, a Toronto physician and care-giving activist. Dr. Atherley hosts the radio show: Family Caregivers Unite! Roberta Oullahan - Recruitment & Retention Coordinator

Roberta's joined Home Instead Senior North York in 1995. Her professional experience includes over 30 years as a Senior Administrative Assistant. Roberta held the position as Client Service Coordinator for 3 years managing clients' services and CAREGivers' schedules to ensure our clients are matched with the CAREGiver who will best suit their needs. 
 
Roberta currently is the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator and contributes to our success by ensuring that our clients receive excellent care with compassionate and dedicated CAREGivers who have the skills to provide the best service possible to our clients.   

Juanita Hawthorne - Client Care Manager

Juanita Hawthorne, a career Healthcare Professional, joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2008.  After serving for a few months as a Personal Support Worker, she was promoted to the position of Clent Services Coordinator.  As Coordinator, she maintains on-going monthly schedules for all Clients and CAREGivers.

Juanita, graduated from high school in New Brunswick and attended Nursing Courses in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of New Brunswick before relocating to Toronto.

In Toronto, Juanita joined Comcare where she practised as a PSW for seven years.  She then joined Nightingale Health Services where she served as Care Coordinator managing client scheduleing and all CCAC interactions with clients and families.

Juanita enjoys spending time with our clients, comforting them, hearing their stories and finding ways to enhance their lives.  Juanita provides invaluable compassionate service to our clients and CAREGivers through her thoughtfulness and understanding of the complexities of senior care.
 
 

Annette Till - Community Marketing Manager

Annette Till joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2011 as our Community Marketing Manager. Annette's passion is to help seniors. She enjoys talking to them, making them smile.  Annette has acted as the Regional Sales Manager for Lansing Retirement Residence and Client Care as a Manager. Annette dedicates her time in the community to inform seniors and their families about Home Instead Senior Care services and how we can give them peace of mind. 

Jeffrey Chin Sang - Service Coordinator

Jeffrey Chin Sang works closely with Juanita Hawthorne in coordination of home service for many of our clients. He brings his skills from having worked at the CCAC as a Service Coordinator for two years having managed clients' service bookings and schedules. Jeffrey has graduated from Centennial College with a diploma in Health Studies majoring in Food and Nutrition Management. He has been exposed to the food service operation in a healthcare setting and understands the dietary and nutrition needs of the elderly. He is currently completing a degree in Health Services Management at Ryerson University to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration.

Nathalea Miller - On-Call Supervisor

Nathalea Miller has 12 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. She has been a Staff Coordinator and worked at various health care settings in Community and Public Health. Nathalea believes in providing quality customer service and client care. Nathalea is passionate about seniors and is dedicated to their care.
