Do some companies rates sound too good to be true?
Consider the following...

1. Do the caregivers have workman's compensation, liability and bonding insurance? This is the most expensive piece to this type of service. Make sure the rate you are quoted includes caregivers that have the insurance neccesary to protect you from being sued by an independent contractor.

2. When being quoted a rate, does the rate make sense in terms of the company paying the caregiver at least minimum wage. If you are quoted a 24 hour rate or daily live in rate of $150.00 a day, divide $150.00 by 24 hours. This equates to $6.25 per hour, this rate is below minimum wage.

3. If caregivers are working more than 40 hours a week, is the company going to charge you overtime, or are they simply not going to pay their caregivers overtime?
