Our West Portland office has grown at a healthy pace. We are not recession proof, but we are recession resistant. We schedule our high quality caregivers to provide thousands of hours of senior care annually. We are preferred providers in residential and assisted buildings. Home is where your pillow is on your bed, your cloths in the closet and your art on the walls. Our franchise owner quips that we are a “rent a daughter service.”
Our high quality caregivers join us after an extensive background check which includes a criminal background check to age 18; DMV driving record; credit report and drug test. Our Caregivers are trained, insured and bonded. The average age of our caregivers is 50. They are bright, socially skilled and are working because they want a part time job where they will bring life to the life of their clients. We have a very low turnover in our caregiver roster. 63% of our caregivers have been with us over two years and many proudly wear award pins for 5-10 years of service.
A Solution That Is Designed For the Client
When we meet a prospective client and their family at our free assessment, everyone contributes to the plan of care. Some seniors want someone to help them every day, others think once a week or even once a month is fine!! We start where the client is and adjust the level of care in accordance to their needs. It is not uncommon for us to care for a client 3 hours twice a week and months later add hours to their schedule when they request it.
A Solution That Is Designed For the Family
Whether it is your parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle or cherished friend, we are part of the solution. Adult Children can be caught in the middle, trying care for their parents, their children and their spouse. We step in while you are at work, or across the country. Your darling aunt and uncle are all alone and you want to know that they safe and happy. We have been amazed at how may of our clients have a niece or nephew as their emergency contact.
There Is an Answer
We provide companionship, light housekeeping, laundry, incidental transportation, grocery shopping and meal preparation. We provide personal care and medication reminders. If you have long term care insurance we pre-approve our company to meet the insurance companies’ requirements on your specific policy.
If we are not the answer for the care giving services you need, our office staff will always refer you to resources who can meet your needs. The home-care industry in Portland is client and family focused. We are not competitors, we are colleagues.
