Harry and Nancy Fendrich - Co-Owners Harry and Nancy Fendrich are co-owners of the Greater Charleston franchise of Home Instead Senior Care, established in 1999. We are dedicated to serving every client and their family members with consistent delivery of the very best quality of caregiving service, at an affordable cost in comparison to alternatives. Harry is our general manager and Nancy serves as our care and quality service manager. We also serve the community as leaders involved with: South Carolina Aging in Place Coalition (executive committee, treasurer and member of the Board), Lighthouse for the Blind (member of the Board of Trustees), South Carolina Silver Haired Legislature (former caucus member), Better Business Bureau, The National Private Duty Association, and The Low Country Senior Network.
  Reverend Paul Gilbert - Co-Host of our radio program for seniors and their adult children A retired Episcopal priest, and having been active in ministry for over 30 years, the Reverend Paul Gilbert continues to serve as a parish priest providing pastoral care and Sunday worship at Grace Episcopal Church, located in the historical district of Charleston. He is a member of the Association of Christian Therapists, and is a trained spiritual director. He also serves as an advisor to us and is co-host of "Time for Seniors and Their Families", presented by Home Instead Senior Care at 8:30am (EDT) on Sunday morning radio, FM94.3. Issues and solutions relevant to senior care are presented in this weekly program.
  Gerald Caffrey - Senior Director Gerry joined our professional staff in 2011 after a 30 year career with Merck Pharmaceutical. He served Merck in various management roles within human resources, creative services and strategic procurement. As the most recent member to join our team, he will primarily focus on the recruitment, development and retention of the best caregivers in the industry to ensure the continuous delivery of quality care designed to exceed client expectations. He will also be instrumental with the design and execution of marketing programs that effectively communicate and promote the value of our services to those in our community that can benefit from our care giving service.   Marianne Nehls - Director of Community Relations Marianne Nehls is a Licensed Practical Nurse and serves as our Director of Community Relations. Marianne, as a member of our leadership team, is focused on the evaluation and needs of potential clients, and she is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of quality care by our CAREGivers. Her fourteen years of geriatric nursing experience is a valuable resource to our clients and their family members, and to members of the medical community with whom she interacts. For your information, we also have an RN on staff who is highly knowledgeable in geriatric care and is a resource in infectious disease control.   Gloria McDonnell - Administrative Manager Gloria joined our leadership staff in 2006, after relocating from Pennsylvania where she served with the local Home Instead Senior Care office as a manager. Gloria is an extraordinarily compassionate person, and invests a large part of her heart in talking with clients, family members and CAREGivers. She is also involved in the day-to-day operations of our service, as well as client invoicing and payroll administration. Tameika Cave - Staff Coordinator Tameika is gifted in listening to the needs of our clients and in knowing the skills of each of our CAREGivers. As a result, she is highly successful in her ability to place CAREGivers with clients. Lasting relationships often occur with CAREGivers and clients becoming "best friends". Tameika is also known as the "Voice of Home Instead Senior Care in Charleston" on the radio. Debbie Byrd - Professional Trainer Debbie is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, with a specialty in professional training. With over 16 years of related experience, she leads our professional training seminars for CAREGivers, assists in retention and recruitment, and is the lead presenter of our CEU classes for nurses and social workers. |
