I want to thank you so much for your attention to detail and let you know how very much we appreciate the flexibility of your staff. Every caregiver you have sent our way has been especially wonderful, professional and most of all caring. We find the caregivers easy to work with and enjoy their company as much as my mom does.

Your Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners possess a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in their community. It's the reason why they were chosen to serve seniors and their families.

When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Dr. Nancy Oppenheimer-Marks - Owner

As an associate professor at the University of  Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Nancy Oppenheimer-Marks was conducting research in rheumatic disease in the Department of Internal Medicine when she chose a new career path.

"Following the death of my parents and after serious consideration, I decided to make it my priority to help provide quality care and compassion to our senior population", said Nancy. She found that the mission of Home Instead Senior Care was much like her own and opened the Dallas franchise in 1999.

The rewards are immeasurable, she said. I get personal pleasure from helping clients and their families, and from employing great people.

She earned her PhD at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas, now known as the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Nancy serves on the board of directors for Friends of Senior Affairs and the Texas chapter of the National Private Duty Association.

Nancy's son is a professional pilot and her husband of over 35 years is a neurophysiologist conducting research at the VA Medical Center in Dallas. She loves spending time with her family and friends, and likes to knit. She also enjoys the company of her dogs, Archie and Edith.

Melinda - Community Relations Director

Since January 2000, Melinda has worked as Community Relations Director for our central Dallas office of Home Instead Senior Care. The Arlington, Texas, native was an audiologist for 28 years and then fate decided it was time for a career change.

Melinda enjoys going into the community informing others about our services.  "One of the best things about working here is making a difference in the quality of life of our clients," she said, "treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve and watching loving relationships develop between the senior clients and caregivers."

Melinda has a bachelors degree in speech pathology from the University of North Texas and a masters degree in audiology from Southern Methodist University.  Loyalty also goes to Texas A&M and Oklahoma University , her children and parents alma maters.

Melinda and her husband, who married in 1973, have two adult children and two dogs, Molly and Sadie. She's a sports enthusiast, an avid reader, and loves home improvement television programs.  An exciting new hobby is creating fused glass artwork.

Brittney - Client Care Coordinator

The most recent addition to our office, Brittney, joined us as Client Care Coordinator in 2012.  At her young age she brings vast experience in helping people in all walks of life.  Brittney attended Texas Southern University and Texas State University graduating with a Masters degree in social work.  Upon graduation she was employed by a social service organization that provides case management services for people who are mentally challenged and she also has worked as a nanny.   Brittney’s caring nature and love of people is applicable to all ages.

Brittney is currently pursuing a degree in nutrition, and plans to add Certified Health Coach to her already long list of accomplishments.  She enjoys the company of her boyfriend Joshua as well as her loveable Chihuahua, Zeus.  Despite her busy schedule she loves to cook, read, attend church and sing.

Claudia - Human Resource Coordinator

We welcomed Claudia to our office in 2009.  She brought with her previous experience with Home Instead Senior Care from the El Paso office.

Claudia grew up in California.  Previously she worked in the travel industry, as a teacher assistant, and with a San Antonio radio station.  In her current position, Claudia hires the right caregivers for our clients and diligently ensures they meet our high standards for service to the elderly.

Claudia is the welcoming face you see when you enter our office.  She takes pride in making our office sparkle.  She is a talented singer and is a great team member.

Natalie - Service Coordinator

Natalie first joined Home Instead Senior Care as Recruitment Coordinator in September 2007 and in 2009 she became the Service Coordinator.

She loves helping people and "when I heard about Home Instead Senior Care, I fell in love with what they do for seniors," she said. "I feel that Home Instead Senior Care extends the life of the elderly and I find that very rewarding."

In her current Service Coordinator position, Natalie applies her business skills to ensure the office complies with all state standards and licensing requirements. She also is responsible for accounts receivables and handles all client billing inquiries. Before coming to Home Instead Senior Care, Natalie helped clients reach their goals through the Jenny Craig weight loss program. She recently completed her degree in Business Management at Richland College, and also her certification in Human Resources.

On her days off, Natalie and her adorable yorkiepoo, Louis Vuitton, and shih tzu, Vera Wang, love to "spend time with family and visit with granny."

Suellen - Staff Coordinator

Suellen enjoys interacting with seniors in her role as Client Care Coordinator.  She joined our  Home Instead Senior Care office in February 2007 after moving to Dallas from her hometown of San Antonio.

"The fact that our caregivers do things for seniors that allow them to remain in their homes for as long as possible is very rewarding to me," she said. "And, we're able to give families peace of mind as well."

Suellen has 22 years of office experience, most of which were spent at the North East Independent School District in San Antonio. Early on in her career she worked as a 911 operator and police dispatcher.  She likes to bowl in her "spare" time (pun intended) and carries a 164 average.  On two occasions she scored a 200!

Her husband, Larry, a renowned print and radio movie critic, continues in this field with his "Movie Memories" venture, discussing past memorable flms and little know facts about their production.  In his "spare" time Larry is an advisor and teacher at a local college. They have two children and two grandchildren.
