Our team starts with our CAREGivers. We are proud of our CAREGivers

Our CAREGivers are what Home Instead Senior Care is all about. After careful screening, extensive background checks, and in-depth training, only the best make it to be a Home Instead Senior Care CAREGiver. Our CAREGivers possess a heartfelt desire to help and work with seniors, to make their lives as rich and rewarding as possible. This is one of the many reasons why you will find them to be so wonderful. Learn more about our passion for making a difference in the lives of seniors by calling our friendly staff at (803) 736-4242.

When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your needs. Whether the need be large or small, Home Instead Senior Care is ready when you are.

When you call, you will speak with either Susan, Lisa, Casey, Shiela, or Rene:

Susan Eison, Community Relations Coordinator.
Representing Home Instead Senior Care in the community, Susan comes to us from The State Media Company where she was an Account Executive. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Susan enjoys meeting new people and is known for making others feel at ease. She describes herself as familiy oriented and loves spending time with her daughter who is about to begin her teenage years. As an animal lover, you might meet Susan volunteering for the organization Pets Inc. Susan understands the importance of caring relationships in the lives of seniors. Her personal experience with her 93 year old grandmother gives her insight into the issues families experience as they age together. We are thrilled to have Susan on the Home Instead Senior Care team.

Lisa Hall, Staff Coordinator.
Lisa has the unique gift of finding just the right CAREGiver to match the needs and personality of the client. By knowing the client's situation through careful listening of both the client's and the family's needs, Lisa can carefully match the perfect CAREGiver to best fill the need. When the situation calls for more than one CAREGiver per client, Lisa provides a smooth and seamless transition from CAREGiver to CAREGiver. Lisa has been with Home Instead Senior Care since July of 2005 and has received training at Midlands Technical College. Lisa maintains an ongoing dialogue with clients and their families to ensure continued satisfaction. Lisa works very closely with the Retention Recruitment Coordinator (Casey Catarino) to maintain CAREGiver satisfaction. Whether your need is three hours a week or someone to be there 24/7, Lisa can make it happen.

Casey Catarino, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator.
Casey is responsible for providing you with only the best in CAREGivers. Casey attended Winthrop University and she now conducts our CAREGiver training. But before the training ever starts Casey performs careful interviews, screening, and background checks so that only the most qualified candidates make it to the Home Instead Senior Care CAREGiver training program. The bottom line is, Casey implements a selection and training program that is second to none. You can rest assured knowing that when a CAREGiver graduates from Casey's class, she is ready to serve the needs of you and your family. Casey knows that when her CAREGiver comes to your house, she will be the kind of person you can depend on, a person that will put your mind at ease, and meet and exceed your expectations. Casey's training does not end once the CAREGiver starts working though. Through careful follow-up and continued discussions, Casey ensures that CAREGivers continue to meet and exceed her high standards.

Shiela Gassaway, Administrative Coordinator.
Shiela is our newest member of the Home Instead Senior Care family and will probably be the first person you talk to when you call or come to our office. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Kent State Univeristy in Ohio. Shiela is very easy to talk to and has the ability to listen carefully to a person's needs. Shiela is best friends with her grandmother and understands the needs and concerns of older adults. Shiela's happy and upbeat demeanor is something you will enjoy finding out about when you call or come by.
Rene Kilburn, Owner.
Rene is uniquely qualified to ensure that Home Instead Senior Care is your trusted source and first choice when it comes to caring for you and your loved ones. Rene was employed by Palmetto Health Richland Hospital for over eighteen years where she was the Vice President of Operations. She was responsible for over 1,400 employees, 40 managers, and 14 directors. Rene holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science from the Medical College of Georgia. She is a registered Respiratory Therapist. Rene is thrilled to be able to help seniors lead happy and fulfilling lives
