A retired nurse and registered nurse with backgrounds in business and senior care are the owners of the Home Instead Senior Care® office serving Sarasota County.
Owners Sharon Anderson BSN and Chrystal Pruitt RN
Anderson holds two bachelors degrees one in nursing and another in business administration and Chrystal Pruitt RN, has an associates degree in nursing with a specialty in critical care and open heart recovery. Anderson and Pruitt will run the day-to-day business operations and togethor they will be responsible for educating the community and about Home Instead Senior Care services.
Home Instead Senior Care is in business to help a growing senior population stay safe in their homes or care communities. The company's CAREGivers, who are screened, trained, bonded and insured, provide companionship, personal care including bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulating, continence care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands and shopping that can help seniors remain independent while in their home or where they call home. These services will help seniors remain home instead even longer.
We felt that providing care to seniors in our area was a great way to give back to the community while taking advantage of our collective experience in the health-care fields, our goal now is to get the word out and make a positive impact that will start a revolution that could change the face of aging. Pruitt most recently worked as an RN in the critical care unit of a local hospital. Before purchasing the franchise, Anderson had marketing, networking and caregiver/client experience in senior care.
The majority of seniors polled in recent industry surveys typically 90 percent say they want to stay at home instead. Home Instead Senior Care provides services to seniors wherever they might call home: private homes, assisted-living facilities, long-term care facilities, hospice and care centers.
Our services are designed for any living arrangement where an older adult simply wants to maintain their independence, have a companion or friend, or just needs assistance with activities, Services are available from just a few hours or 24 hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and holidays.
