Before service begins, a comprehensive care plan is developed during the Care Consultation with our Client Care Specialist.

To determine the Home Care Services that will best suit your needs, we develop an in-home comprehensive care plan at no charge to you. The assessment will be conducted by our Client Care Specialist in your or your loved one's home or wherever you feel most comfortable. The Client Care Specialist will perform a thorough assessment of your or your loved one's needs and then work with you to discuss appropriate services. If additional resources are needed, we will work with you to find the right service.

What is a care consultation?

Our care consultations cover the following topics:

  • CAREGiver Match - The relationship between CAREGivers and clients is the key to our success. We will discuss the type of CAREGiver skills and personalities that will work best with you or your loved one (and with more than 50 CAREGivers on staff, we're sure to find an appropriate match!).
  • Client and Family Lifestyles - Each family is different on how they approach home care. We will openly discuss your approach and how Home Instead Senior Care will fit into your lifestyle.
  • Daily Routines and Preferences - We will review daily routines and preferences to provide care that allows the client to live the way they want to.
  • Service Needs - We will review the scope of Home Instead Senior Care Services and answer questions such as; What are the goals of care? Do you need transportation? What type of personal care, if any, is required? Is specialized Alzheimer's or dementia care needed? If meals are prepared, are there specific nutritional needs or restrictions? and more...
  • Medical Conditions - Examine client's current health and medical conditions including any mobility limitations, personal care requirements, risk factors, and cognitive status. Then, we'll create a plan of care that establishes the goals and directions for delivering the customized plan of care.
