APRIL 25th, 2012 8TH Annual Senior Forum
Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen and the City of Annapolis Commission on Aging invite all Annapolis seniors to the 8th Annual Senior Forum, which will offer valuable resources and educational programs.

The forum will feature exhibitors and panelists on a variety of topics including:
· Healthcare
· Public Safety
· Transportation
· Housing
· Assisted Living
· Finances
The forum will take place on Wednesday, April 25, at the Annapolis Senior Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The center is located at 119 South Villa Avenue in Annapolis.
The morning session will consist of a panel addressing safety and how seniors can protect themselves from scams and deceitful activities. The afternoon session will address medical and health issues.

Caring for You Workshop
Annapolis, MD (April 30, 2012) – The "Caring for You" series offered by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 7, 14, and 21 at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 S. Villa Ave., Annapolis. The sponsor is Home Instead Senior Care.
The three workshops are for caregivers who may need help with coping with their situations while caring for a loved one. Topics will cover working with those with dementia, managing stress, learning essential coping skills, and realizing one’s physical, emotional and spiritual health are all one package needing attention. Mary Fridley, founder of Gero-Resources, LLC, and a registered nurse, is the series facilitator.
