Dementia, Live-in Care:
Your CAREGiver became my sister's primary caregiver approximately one year ago. My sister has a form of dementia resulting in short term memory loss. Prior to your CAREGiver, other caregivers had difficulties with my sister. She was irritable, bored, uninterested in exercise and group activities. Her appearance was in a dishelved manner, eating and medication was haphazard.
During the past year your CAREGiver has stimulated my sister into a program of activities - walking, swimming, group painting, church projects and related organized stimuli. Her appearance now is immaculate; appetite good. Her life has changed dramatically.
I credit the physical and mental improvements to the professional care disciplines that your CAREGiver has lovingly interacted with my sister.
Hospice:
When my Father was diagnosed terminal and we arranged in-home Hospice care, we never knew what was in store for us. Lots of people came and went in our home during my Father's final days. We couldn't have done it without your CAREGiver. She had a kind and caring way that eased my Father's last days. She helped the house run smoothly, and did so many little things that meant so much to my family in those days. We would hire your service again!
Companionship:
My 88 year old Mother lived alone and needed a little help around the house and an extra push to eat well and take a shower. She was eating frozen dinners and her nutrition was poor. We asked for someone who was a good cook to come in a few hours each week.
Your CAREGiver was an excellent cook and much more. She cooked meals, preparing meals ahead when needed, gave my Mother showers and played checkers with her - something she had not done in years. They even went shopping together. Overall my Mother's outlook on life improved and she was more energetic. She looks forward to your CAREGiver's visit.
Therapy Recovery:
I am 83 years old and live in Elk Grove Village. My hip was replaced at Alexian Brothers. After my rehab was complete they suggested I get a little help around the house. The Doctor thought I should have help dressing, cooking, cleaning and things like that.
Your Rise'n Shine Tuck-in Serivce was perfect. For two months a CAREGiver came to my home in the morning to help me get dressed and ready for the day. In the evening a CAREGiver came to help me get ready for bed. I could not bend over very well or do much around the house. Your CAREGivers were from Elk Grove Village. That was important to me. They were always polite, caring, on-time and even helped with my exercises.
As I got stronger I changed my schedule. I appreciate the care and attention you gave this senior!
