Kelly Hutchison, Owner

Kelly has been involved in the health care industry for 12 years.  During that time he has been a business consultant helping Fortune 500 clients design and implement business strategies and improve operations.  His business experience allows him to set the company strategy and direction, effect change and deliver results.  He experienced senior caregiving firsthand as the family caregiver for his father, a WWII decorated Army veteran, who passed away in the family farmhouse in 1999.  That experience opened his eyes and heart to the challenges families face when caring for aging seniors.  Kelly brings his compassion for seniors, dedication to his CAREGivers and business insights to work every day.  He knows what it takes to provide personalized care to seniors in the privacy of their own home, and has an open door policy to all clients and CAREGivers.

Stephanie Ferenczi, Staffing Manager

bori@homeinstead.com

Stephanie was born in Romania where she studied the violin intensively.  She majored in English Language and Literature with an eye to becoming an interpreter later in life.  In 1995 she moved to the United States and immediately felt at home.

Stephanie first worked in a Doctor's office, and later as a dental assistant for 2 years.  She began work for a non-medical senior care agency on the North Shore of Chicago in 1999.  In that role she became very familiar with the eldercare business and found her true calling.  She began her time there as Caregiver Recruiter, and then became a Staffing Coordinator.  After eight years working for that agency she moved to the western suburbs and joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in Elk Grove Village as Staffing Manager.  Helping people has always been her joy.  She helps seniors meet their needs.  Staffing is like a puzzle when you are making sure you put the "right piece in the right place," Stephanie says.

Although she no longer plays the violin, she still enjoys listening to music.  She likes to work out outside, enjoys cooking a good meal for her family and friends, and keeps in touch with friends who are spread out all over the world.

Angie McCulloch, Staffing Manager

angie.mcculloch@homeinstead.com

Angie has been with Home Instead Senior Care for three years.  As the Staffing Manager, it is Angie's job to assign CAREGivers to clients and manage their schedules.  She works very hard to match Clients and CAREGivers personalities, schedules, and abilities/level of care.  Prior to working with Home Instead Senior Care, Angie had seven years experience operating and managing retail stores.  There she was responsible for managing employee schedules, hiring, training, and orientation of new employees for eight outlets.

Angie is originally from Romania, but has called this area home since she was 16.  She is married to a Cook County Sheriff's Deputy and has four children.  Her hobbies include bowling, bike riding, and spending time with her family.  Additionally she volunteers for the Citizen on Patrol program with the Itasca Police Department to help keep our communities safe.

Angie has a contagious laugh that can brighten anyone's day.  With Angie staffing, no shift goes unfilled.

Tanya Herrera, Staff Manager

Therrera@homeinstead.com

Tanya was raised in the suburbs of Chicago.  She received her degree in Visual Communications and started her career in Graphic Design.  She soon decided to make a change in career paths to the employment and human resources field.  Tanya has experience working for staffing agencies where she was responsible for attracting, screening and interviewing qualified job candidates.

At Home Instead Senior Care, Tanya attracts qualified candidates to be professional CAREGivers.  She then screens and interviews applicants, conducts their background checks, enforces strict hiring standards and reviews staffing needs.  Tanya also helps oversee Home Instead Senior Care training programs to ensure clients have skilled CAREGivers and to develop staff.

Because of Tanya's cheerful and winning personality she has helped Home Instead reduce CAREGiver turnover to rates that are among the best in the nation!

Tanya enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She is the proud parent of a 9-year-old daughter and a new baby boy.  Tanya also enjoys taking walks in the forest preserve, bowling, and attending her daughter's swim meets.

Tricia Diegel, Assistant Staff Manager

Colleen McGuinn, Client Care Manager

Colleen has been with Home Instead Senior Care for over five years now.  Colleen was previously in Advertising and Marketing/Sales for fifteen years.  When her own father became ill, Colleen quit her job in sales and marketing to become the primary family caregiver.  Colleen found this role so rewarding that she took a part time job with Home Instead Senior Care.  That was five years ago.  Colleen has since moved into the position of Client Care Manager.

Colleen is now responsible for meeting prospective clients, designing customized care plans, matching CAREGivers to clients' needs, and overseeing quality of service on an ongoing basis.  She is instrumental in helping Home Instead CAREGivers understand their job and what their client specifically needs and wants.  Colleen has ten years of experience caring for her own father, who is recently deceased.  Colleen has three children.  She enjoys walking, reading, and attending her children's sporting events.

Judy White, Training Coordinator / On-Call Staffing Manager

judyw@homeinstead.com

Judy has been with the Home Instead Senior Care team for four years.  As the Training Coordinator, she is responsible for instructing CAREGivers in Home Instead Senior Care's world-class training materials (including such topics as Alzheimer care, personal care, transferring, bathing, communication, etc.).  Judy also trains CAREGivers in the client's homes to help CAREGivers with any hands-on training needed to solve a specific situation.  CAREGivers love Judy because they learn new ways to solve problems, to do a better job, and to provide better care for clients.

Judy has 16 years of experience as a caregiver and 12 years experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  In 1993 she graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate Degree in Corrections Science.  Judy is originally from Green Bay, WI.  She enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her two grown sons.  Her youngest son is a United States Army National Guard Military Policeman.  Judy's personal goal is to visit Ireland by 2012.  Judy also finds time to be a CAREGiver for Home Instead Senior Care for one of our very special, long-term clients.

Judy's pride and passion for caregiving and helping seniors dominates her life.  Just ask her long-time Home Instead Senior Care client who she has been helping since the Fall of 2006.  The client credits Judy with helping her live safely and happily, and above all, being a wonderful friend.

Beth Wakefield, Office Coordinator

Beth joined our team with 2 years experience as a recruiter with a Home Instead Senior Care office in Milwaukee, WI.  Beth moved to the Chicagoland area in October 2008 and she promptly joined our team.  Beth is responsible for overseeing office operations, responds to family inquiries about our care, assists with Client Quality Assurance program, and manages the CAREGiver Retention program.  It is likely Beth's friendly voice you will hear first when you call our office.

Beth is from a small town in rural Wisconsin.  She graduated from Marquette University in 2004.  She is married and is the proud mother of a six-year-old boy and a baby girl.  Her favorite activities include hiking, swimming, and going to the beach.  Her favorite color is pink.
Beth has been a great addition to our team in part due to her prior experience with Home Instead Senior Care conducting a variety of administrative roles, and in part due to her can-do attitude that helps everything run smoothly.  She enjoys working at Home Instead Senior Care because she  likes to help make a difference in people's lives.

Reggie Schorler, Community Relations Manager

Gayle Soulides, Office Coordinator

Gayle started her career with Home Instead in July of 2010.  She is originally from Park Ridge, and now resides in Arlington Heights.  Gayle studied commercial design at Illinois State, and worked in retail management for 15 years.  She has two daughters, a Huskey, and a cat, which keep her busy when she's not helping around the office.

In her free time, Gayle is an avid collector of Mid-Century Modern antiques, which she buys and sells at area markets and online.  Gayle loves the service aspect of working at Home Instead, and is happy to be part of the support system provided to families through our services.

Gayle Reed, Bookkeeper

Gayle is our Bookkeeper.  She joined the office in October 2008.  Home Instead Senior Care is a second job for Gayle and it's a perfect fit in her life.  She likes working with numbers but especially enjoys the interaction with wonderful CAREGivers, clients and officemates.  During the day Gayle works full-time managing the office for an industrial company in Arlington Heights.  Gayle has been in customer service for all of her professional career, which suits her bubbly outgoing personality quite well.

When Gayle is not working on financial details, she fanatically follows Cubs baseball, Denver Broncos football, and NASCAR driver Tony Stewart.  Gayle is in several bowling leagues and proudly averages a 175!  Gayle enjoys spending lots of time with her family and friends.

Pepper, Therapy Dog and Office Mascot

Pepper is our wonderful, sweet mascot.  She is a 5-year-old black Labrador Retriever.  She likes people, water, chasing birds, and more people.  Pepper often visits the office and helps distract our office team from our day jobs.  Although a well-behaved and well-mannered lady, she does like attention.  Tricks are not her strong suit, but she can shake paws and give high-fives.

Pepper is a volunteer therapy dog.  Being a certified therapy dog means her manners are not just observed and enjoyed, they are certified.  As a certified therapy dog, she visits long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes and rehab facilities, where she helps seniors forget their condition and surroundings.  She is a member of the Northwest Community Animal Assisted Therapy Team since October 2009.  She especially enjoys bed visits where she gets on the bed with the patient - she gets to lay down on the job!  The medical benefits of therapy pets are just beginning to be understood, but ask any patient the highlight of their hospital stay and they will say the visit from the therapy dogs!
