Need At-Home Assistance

 

  • Their physical or mental capabilities to drive are compromised, and they have difficulties getting to their scheduled appointments, etc. ---We can provide incidental transportation to help them get wherever they want or need to go.

 

  •  They complain about not eating --- Our ability to plan, prepare and clean up after meals and grocery shop for them would encourage eating properly.

 

  •  They complain about not sleeping at night --- We can offer mental and physical stimulation during the day. We also can provide overnight care to alleviate any of their safety concerns.

 

  •  They don't seem to be taking their medications properly --- We can help get prescriptions filled and remind them to take their medications as prescribed. 

 

  •  There are signs they need assistance with personal hygiene --- We can provide help with bathing, toileting, dressing, laundry and sheets & linens.

 

  • They are recently bereaved (e.g., loss of spouse or adult child). We can provide much needed companionship. 

 

  • They seem depressed about their lack of independence --- We can help them maintain their independence by providing dependable, compassionate one-on-one care with their ADLs and IADLs. 

 

  • They are the primary caregiver for a loved one and are neglecting their own physical, mental and spiritual needs --- We can provide respite care to help them take much-needed time for themselves.  

 

  • They make statements like: "My family doesn't care about me" or "My kids are too busy". --- While we can never replace family members, we can be there when their family members can't.

 

Most seniors do not know what options are available to help them remain safe and independent in their own homes.  While these services are generally not a medical necessity, they can help improve your client's overall quality of life.
