Helping Seniors in the Greater Birmingham area for 12 Years
The Home Instead Senior Care family, a network of locally owned franchise offices, was developed with a passionate desire to be your trusted source in helping your family keep your aging mother, father, grandparents or friends in their home as they grow older.
In the Birmingham area you will find a locally owned and operated, growing home care business that began with the desire to serve the needs of our community's elderly adults. Our office is located in Vestavia Hills, just down from Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
Dan Pahos moved to Birmingham, AL in 1993 after meeting his future wife, Andrea, a native of Birmingham. Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, Dan graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 1987 with a degree in Marketing. In 1995, Dan married the former Andrea Olvey and they live in Vestavia Hills, AL where they are raising their two children.
After dealing with long distance elder care issues, while taking care of his parents in MN, Dan decided to resign from his industrial supplies sales position and start up the first Home Instead Senior Care franchise in the state of Alabama. Home Instead has positioned itself to be the premier home care company for the elderly and disabled in the Birmingham area.
Dan is active in the local community. He is a board member of the following organizations: Alzheimer's of Central Alabama (co-chair for 2004 Memory Walk), Case Management Society of America (CMSA), The Center for Religion and Disability, and the Alabama Interfaith Coalition on Aging. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Shades Valley, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (Birmingham Board of Trustee, Chairman - Entrepreneurial Roundtable Program), and Vestavia Chamber of Commerce.
Dan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golfing, snow skiing, and ice hockey.
