Local Home Instead Senior Care Office teams up with Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk

Home Instead Senior Care serving Greater Phoenix Area is partnering with the Alzheimer's Association Desert Southwest Chapter to sponsor Memory Walk 2008. The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk™ is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, this inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's.

In the West Valley the walk will be held on Saturday, October 18th with registration starting at 7:30 AM and the Memory Walk will begin at 9:00 AM at Wesley Bolin Plaza in Downtown Phoenix.

"We are honored to be a part of this effort to do what we can to help those affected by Alzheimer's disease," said Debbie Seplow owner of the local Home Instead Senior Care. "Every day we see the individuals whose lives are severely impacted by this disease and whose families struggle to care for them. That's why we are so pleased to be a part of this worthwhile project."

To join our team or to make a donation, please follow these steps:

1. Go to www.alzdsw.org/_caz_memorywalk.shtml
2. Scroll down and choose either walk: October 18th (West Valley - Beardsley Recreation Center) or November 1st (Downtown Phoenix)
3. In the green bar click on "Join a Team"
4. Click on "I agree" at the bottom of the page
5. Choose the second option "Join a Team"
6. To locate a team, click on the arrow next to "Select a group"and choose "Home Instead Senior Care"
7. Click on "Home Instead Steps Up - Leanne Izzo"
8. Under "Join a team" in the green bar, you will need to click on "General Team Donation" tab to donate
9. Enter requested information and your donation amount
