A Resource You can Trust

In deciding to whom you will entrust the care and well-being of your family member, there is one consideration which is far more important than any other-the quality of the CAREGiver and the agency behind that person.

The Northborough/Natick, MA offices of Home Instead opened their doors on March 1, 1997 as Hearthside, Inc. dba (doing business as) Home Instead Senior Care. Each Home Instead office is individually owned and operated.

The Northborough office was the first Home Instead Senior Care in New England and the 51st franchise in North America. After completion of a successful first year, the owners bought their second office located in Natick, MA.

Although Home Instead Senior Care is a "non-medical" home care agency, the owners came into this business with years of medical backgrounds. Bruce Bender is a physician and Laurie Bender a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Now, with a staff of over 200 CAREGivers, and having provided care to well over 1,000 Clients, the Benders have remained in the forefront of Home Care in Massachusetts. They have worked with state representatives to both legislate and create quality standards for this industry.

Bruce and Laurie Bender - Owners

Laurie Bender, RN, MSN, CCNS and her husband, Bruce Bender, MD, MS left their medical practices back in 1997 in order to open the first Home Instead Senior Care in New England.

Their goal had been, and continues to be, to provide the very best assistance to seniors in order to help them to remain at home, where they wish to be. The Benders, and their dedicated staff at Home Instead Senior Care, have assisted thousands of seniors (and their families) with that goal, keeping our area seniors at "Home Instead".

 
 
Angela Brunson Bartlett

Angela Brunson Bartlett - General Manager

Angela has been with Home Instead since January 2002.  She is often the first person a family member will speak to about services and also acts as a resource for other community options. She will meet with families and clients to discuss/review their home care needs, provide in home assessments for companions and home helpers, and make suggestions regarding care. In addition, Angela manages the daily operations of our business and monitors our Quality Program to ensure that our clients, their families, and our CAREGivers have a wonderful and rewarding experience with Home Instead. Angela has a degree in Sociology and came to Home Instead with a strong managerial background and a true compassion for seniors and their families.

Wendy Nollman

Wendy Nollman - Marketing Director

Wendy Nollman is the Marketing Director/Community Service Representative.
Wendy started with Home Instead in December 2008.  She is responsible for all on-line marketing and advertising development as well as building strong relationships with other senior services in our community.  Wendy has a BS in Business Administration and came to Home Instead with 25+ years of marketing and account management experience.
Janet Bein

Janet Bein - Office Administrator

Janet Bein is the Office Administrator.  In addition to keeping the office running smoothly and efficiently, Janet is the first person to respond to our callers.  She is available to answer or direct any questions to the appropriate personnel.  Janet came to Home Instead in October 2004, with over 20 years of administrative experience.

Joanne Claflin Billings-Receptionist

Joanne joined our staff as the Office Receptionist in August 2011. Joanne provides assistance to the Home Instead Team and is one of the first people you will speak with when calling in the afternoon. Joanne came to Home Instead as a CAREGiver in June 2011 with over 35 years of inter-office and personnel administrative experience.
Mary Kilburn

Mary Kilburn - Recruitment Coordinator

Mary Kilburn is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring the CAREGiving Staff of Home Instead. Mary has been our Recruitment Coordinator since 2007. Her many years of interviewing experience in this field insure that we hire the very best CAREGivers. For our CAREGiver’s convenience, she works out of both our Northborough and Natick offices. Mary has been with Home Instead since 2005 starting as a staff coordinator.
Felicia Cardone

Felicia Cardone - Retention Coordinator

Felicia Cardone orientates and provides ongoing educational opportunities and trainings for all of our CAREGivers. Felicia works out of both the Northborough and Natick offices providing convenient locations for our CAREGivers. She has been involved in the senior service industry for over 25 years.  Felicia has been with Home Instead since 2001, first starting as a CAREGiver and then moving to our office staff in 2002.
Deb Potty

Deborah Potty-Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Deb Potty joined the Home Instead Team in 2009. She is our Clinical Nurse Supervisor. Deb provides the Nursing assessments for any Home Instead client seeking personal care. She also supervises our personal care staff and provides ongoing quality assessment visits for all of our personal care clients. Deb comes to us with 35+ years of nursing experience in acute care hospital setting with the last two years as a unit manager in a long-term care facility.

Jennifer Consiglio-Staff Coordinator

Jennifer joined the staff of Home Instead in 2010 as a Staff Coordinator. Jen assists in the placement of CAREGivers into the homes of our Seniors, as well as the supervision of our CAREGivers and case follow up with our non-Personal Care clients. Jen was both a CAREGiver and a Case Manager for one of the State's ASAP's before joining the Home Instead Team.

Kim Milo-Staff Coordinator

Kim joined Home Instead’s Staff Coordinator team in August 2011. Kim assists in the placement of CAREGivers into the homes of our Seniors, as well as the supervision of our CAREGivers and case follow up with our non-Personal Care clients. Kim started with Home Instead in June 2010 as a CAREGiver, is PCA certified and has a background in Hotel & Hospitality Management specializing in Finance.
Jessica Young

Jessica Young - Staff Coordinator

Jessica Young has been a Staff Coordinator with Home Instead since September 2008. Jessica assists in the placement of CAREGivers into the homes of our Seniors, as well as the supervision of our CAREGivers and case follow up with non-Personal Care clients. Jessica started with Home Instead in September 2002 as a CAREGiver.
Tracey Atkinson

Tracey Atkinson - Payroll Coordinator and Weekend Supervisor

Tracey is the Payroll Coordinator and Weekend Supervisor and oversees the collection of all of our payroll information. She also provides weekend supervision for our CAREGiver staff.  Tracey started with Home Instead in 2003 as a CAREGiver and over time took on many of the responsibilities she has now. In 2005 Tracey became the official Payroll Coordinator and Weekend Supervisor.
