It has been said that "people won't remember what you said or what you did but they WILL remember how you made them feel" - my aunt's dementia prevents her from recalling past events or names but she often says this about her caregiver from Home Instead - "I don't feel like she is my caregiver, I feel like a friend is coming to visit".
