Alzheimer's Memory Walk
The Memory Walk is a fun and inspiring event that helps the Alzheimer’s Association fulfill its mission. It’s a wonderful chance to pay tribute to those who have been touched by Alzheimer’s. Most importantly it’s an opportunity to help ensure that no one else faces Alzheimer’s disease alone.
For 8 years now Home Instead Senior Care has been a proud supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk. On Saturday, September 19th, we will again be walking to raise awareness, funds, and to improve the lives of those we love and care for living with this horrible disease.
Operation Medicine Cabinet
The medicine cabinet in the home of a senior may be the most dangerous place in America. Unused and expired prescription drugs accumulate as the medical needs of seniors change. As a result, old and expired prescriptions can pose a continuing health hazard to seniors and other family members.
Home Instead Senior Care’s Operation Medicine Cabinet is a program designed to educate and inform the community on the obvious hazards of expired medications and create a venue for encouraging the proper disposal of these medications through collection drives.
Santa to a Senior
Be a Santa to a Senior is an annual holiday gift program developed and sponsored by HISC as a way to brighten the lives of financially challenged and isolated seniors during the holiday season.
Home Instead partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts. We then work with local businesses, retail stores, and volunteers to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts. The program begins in late fall! To be a Santa to a Senior, all you have to do is help! Call the office for more details! 303.389.5700
